It's almost hiking season again and I'm so very excited!
Anyone want to tell me your favorite trail in Tennessee!?
Or feel free to share a picture of your favorite trip if you're not from the area!
🌿 Along the Winding Trail 💚
When we are little,
we run down the woodland trail
with muddy knees and pockets full of treasures—
a feather here, a crooked stone there,
certain there will always be another bend to discover.
Then we grow,
and the trail grows with us.
Some seasons are tangled with briars,
some are bright with wildflowers,
and some disappear beneath fallen leaves
until we must trust our feet
to find the way again.
As the years wander by,
we begin to walk a little slower.
We notice the tiny mushrooms beneath the trees,
the birds singing somewhere beyond the ferns,
and the sunlight dancing through the branches.
And perhaps growing old
is simply learning to love the wandering more than the destination.
For every trail has its ending…
but oh, what a beautiful thing
to look back and see
how many gardens, forests, friendships,
and little pieces of magic
we gathered along the way. 🌿💚
