Yesterday afternoon we hosted our very first *Soar Into 2nd Grade* evening event for our 1st grade families! 🦅💚

Moving from 1st grade to 2nd grade is an exciting transition, and we loved having the opportunity to help families learn more about what to expect. Mrs. Williams shared important information about 2nd grade routines and expectations, including numerical grades, rotating between two teachers, increased independence, and more. Families and students asked wonderful questions and had great conversations about the upcoming school year!

Families also received a summer transition skill-building kit filled with activities and resources to help keep learning going all summer long. These kits were purchased through our federally funded Title 1 program, and we are so grateful to provide this support for our students and families. ☀️📚

To wrap up the evening, students had a blast building and decorating kites before heading outside to see them soar! 🪁

Thank you to all the families who joined us. We hope this event was both fun and beneficial, and we wish everyone a safe and wonderful summer! Comal ISD

And for a few very special staff members, it is the actual *Final Bell!* Last week, our campus hosted a beautiful celebration honoring the incredible staff members retiring this year. While we are truly going to miss them, we are so excited for the new adventures that await each of them.

Field Day 2026 was one for the books! ☀️

Our Hawks had an absolute BLAST enjoying games, water slides, bounce houses, popsicles, and so many smiles all day long! From friendly competition to lots of laughter, it was the perfect way to celebrate an amazing school year together.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this day so special for our students. These are the memories they will be talking about all summer long!

We are beyond proud to celebrate our very own Mrs. Kimi Long for being named Comal ISD’s Fine Arts Teacher of the Year! 🎨🎶✨

Mrs. Long inspires creativity, confidence, and a love for the arts in every student she teaches. Her passion, talent, and dedication make a lasting impact on our campus each and every day, and this recognition is so well deserved!

Its the last Friday Hawk High Fives for the year! 🦅👏

We are so proud of these students for showing outstanding character, leadership, kindness, responsibility, and hard work all across campus! Keep soaring, Hawks!

And it looks like our Hawk mascot is already in full vacation mode 🌴☀️😎 sporting swim trunks and getting ready for the 5th Grade end of year Bash (Splash!) at FIMFO! We think someone may be a little TOO excited for water slides and sunshine! 😂 Comal ISD

Today we celebrated three remarkable CLHS interns on their final day at RCES! Since last fall, these seniors have spent countless hours supporting our students, helping our teachers, and becoming such a special part of our campus family. Their kindness, dedication, and positive energy made a lasting impact on everyone around them.

As they prepare to graduate and move on to exciting new adventures, we want them to know how grateful we are for all they have given to our school community. We will miss them so much and cannot wait to see all the amazing things their futures hold! 🎓✨
