One Pine Day 2026 02/18/2026

TODAY is THE DAY!
The MFA is participating in "One Pine Day" at Whitworth University, collecting donations (however small or large) to give **straight** to our students in the form of scholarships. 💵

Undertaking an MFA degree is a bold and prayerful move: we're trying to make it easier for our enrolling students to buy books, cover their travel to/from residencies, off-set tuition costs, etc. 🙏

To Write Better, Read Better 02/17/2026

Be it hereafter known 🎺: we have decided to forego any further attempts to market our MFA, and will instead simply point interested parties toward this summary essay by recent alum of the program, David Lindrum. ☄️

To Write Better, Read Better Learning what it means to read better.

In case you haven't seen it, this is our new listing over at ChillSubs, where we are an official "MFA Partner." We think they did a fab job of laying out the relevant information. Here's hoping that practicing (working, submitting) writers (with keen design senses) agree. 👩‍🎨👨🏻‍💻

So little changed and still so much.

An alumna of our program, Shemaiah Gonzalez, has a new book out, ON JOY, which seems, you know, needful these days. You might consider attending an MFA program whose graduates produces such things. Shemaiah will also be a **Visiting Faculty** member at our summer residency in JULY, should you like to meet/learn from her.
