ABOUT US: We are three—myself, Jan Hansen, my partner, Tom Roach, and my sister, Diann Talbott. We built our first library in December of 2014 for Tom’s sister who teaches English at Mead High School and is an avid reader. Of course we had to have one too, so our second library went up in front of our home in the Audubon Park neighborhood a block east of the Flying Goat. Both libraries were an im

I've been meaning to post this one from the windstorm in January, 2021. Would you believe it survived without a scratch?!? We do build them well LOL!!

Installed in the shade of the Maple tree in front of this lovely home at 311 S. Calvin Lane in Spokane Valley, Washington, this Brunswick green little library boasts matching hand-painted mandalas on its front gable and both sides. The library's amenities include a very comfortable Brunswick green bench, a dog treat box (also with a matching hand-painted mandala), a dog leash hook, and its close proximity to a delightfully-designed neighborhood sitting area. We also installed three large stepping stones leading up to the library

We were thrilled at how well our first hand-painted mandala little library turned out. Painted bright magenta and lit with solar LED rope lights weaving up the post between four adorable metal ladybugs, this spectacular library is hard to miss at 2220 South Grand Boulevard just two houses down from Manito Park in Spokane, Washington.

Although not so recently built, this we recently received the photo of this delightfully painted little library that (finally lol) found its way to rural Wisconsin where it was installed in front of the quaint "Lilacs & Lilies" cottage it was destined for.

Christmas 2020: This entirely 3D printed LFL miniature Christmas Tree ornament is a replica of a future library that we will be completing in August of 2021. It was our "we're sorry we didn't get to you in 2020" gift. Topped off with a tiny eye-hook, mini red bow and red and white candy-striped string it made an adorable Christmas ornament! Something in the future we may offer to our customers, time permitting! If anybody has a recipe for fluffier snow, I'd love to hear it! We made ours from shaving cream and white glue then added a bit of glitter.

Spring 2021: Shipped to Atlanta, Georgia, this "not so little" Little Free Library features 3D printed dormers that are prefect replicas of the originals and even include the window boxes. Utilizing a new design technique, the dormers' windows have actual plexiglass inserts. The same technique was used for the large picture windows on either side of the wood-stained front door with its ornate door k**b, door bell and working door knocker. With solar LED lighting, the inside of the library is divided into two sections that are accessible from the sides. A very creative custom sign (designed by our client) proudly declares it "The McDubrofs at Old Ivy Little Free Library."

It's a Girl!!! A combination of house warming and baby shower gift, this adorable newborn is napping (only long enough to take the photo) inside the new library installed on the 1600 block of West 12th in Spokane. The library was finished months ahead of time but not installed until after the baby was born so no worries about paint fumes, although the new momma double checked for herself! Congrats on the new home and the new baby!!

This traditional little red schoolhouse library was a gift from hubby Don to his wife Marlene for her 80th birthday in September, 2020. Boasting a solid brass bell in an all vinyl (maintenance free) cupola, this very roomy library replaced a much smaller version that the couple purchased from us back in 2014. The library is located at 1436 North Summit Blvd. in Spokane. Happy Birthday Marlene!

Another perfect match, this LFL features hand-painted wood shake siding, 3D printed windows and a turquoise door (that matches the turquoise door on the home) and if you look closely you will see that we even copied the tiny vent on the upper gable. Installed (in 2020) at 409 E 9th in Spokane.
