A Peek 👀 Behind the Scenes! 📚 ✨

We are now just days away from starting school, and we are SO excited to begin! All of our little areas are slowly looking more and more like a schoolhouse. 🥰

Books are being organized, curriculum is being prepared, supplies are finding their homes, and all of those little details are coming together.
There is something so special about preparing a space for children to learn, grow, wonder, create, and grow closer to Christ. ❤️

I can’t wait to open these books, gather around the table, head outside, and begin this new school year together!

One week until our first day of school! 📚✨
I am so excited to crack open these books with our kiddos and start off the year with stories, laughter, curiosity, and lots of learning.

One of my favorite things about Lighthouse Learners is that rich literature is at the heart of our school day. We aren't just reading books—we're using them to spark conversations, inspire creativity, build vocabulary, explore new ideas, and help our students see the world through someone else's eyes. ❤️

From silly first-day-of-school stories to beautiful chapter books that we'll grow into together, I've been collecting some special stories to help make our first week memorable.

I want to be the teacher who notices when a child is struggling—not just with reading or math, but with confidence.

I want to be the teacher who gets excited when a child finally reads a sentence independently.

I want to make room for questions, curiosity, creativity, and the occasional muddy shoes.

I want my students to know that they don't have to be the fastest, the loudest, or the best at something to belong here.

I want them to know they are known, valued, and wonderfully created by God.

🌿 What does a day at Lighthouse Learners look like?

It looks a little different than a traditional school day—and that’s intentional. ❤️

We might begin our morning gathered around a good book, spend time working on reading and writing, explore a new idea through art or hands-on learning, and head outside to learn and play.
We slow down when we need to. We make room for questions. We celebrate progress. We read beautiful books. We learn about God’s creation.
Most importantly, our students are known.
With a small group, I’m able to meet each child where they are and create an environment where they can learn, grow, and become confident in who God created them to be. ⚓️
That’s what I hope Lighthouse Learners feels like: more than a classroom—a place to learn, grow, and be known.

Does your daughter love getting lost in a good story? Join us at Lighthouse Learners for a year of wonderful books, creative activities, meaningful conversations, and sweet friendships.
Together, we’ll explore 8 beautiful stories while enjoying crafts, games, book discussions, fun snacks, and opportunities to connect what we read with God’s truth. ❤️

At Lighthouse Learners, we believe children deserve an education that is more than worksheets and busywork.

We want our students to:

Why choose a Biblical education? 💙

Because we believe education is about more than academics.
At Lighthouse Learners, we have the opportunity to teach children the Gospel, help them know and love Christ, encourage a love for God’s Word, and teach them to see the world through a Biblical worldview.
We want our students to discover that their faith isn't something separate from what they learn. God is present in every subject, every story, every creation, and every question.

Our hope is to give children a strong academic foundation while also helping them grow in wisdom, character, curiosity, and a lifelong love for the Lord.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
— Proverbs 22:6

Not just any reading, but rich literature that gives children something to wonder about, talk about, and carry with them.

Beautiful stories help children develop imagination, curiosity, empathy, and a love for language—all while discovering new people, places, ideas, and perspectives.

At Lighthouse Learners, we believe good books help shape curious minds and thoughtful hearts. ❤️

Does your child love creating with their hands? Join us for four mornings of sewing, weaving, creativity, and fun in a small-group setting!
