Early morning wake ups are TOUGH! I know I like to sleep later than 6 am for sure!
Did you know that anything after 6 am is technically fair game, but with our day to day life, sometimes we have a wake time that works better for our schedules etc!
To extend morning wake ups...
🎉 Leave them in their crib/ bed until their desired wake time- an okay to wake clock is super beneficial for toddlers!! 99% of the time babies and toddlers wake up happy after a good nights rest and are super content until it’s time to get up! You could even have books for them to read etc (depending on the age) for when they wake up!
🎉Use the monitor to talk to them and let them know it’s not yet time to get up and you’ll get them in a few minutes! You could go in and check diapers etc and then come back when it’s time to get up, but lots of times going in makes it harder to leave!
🎉 Tweak bedtime and naptime! As babies grow, their sleep needs change! If you see a sudden change in their wake time for the day, look at their overall sleep and see if their bedtime can be pushed back or if their nap schedule needs to be tweaked!
Do you struggle with early morning wakes?

Where are all my toddler moms at??!! This post is for you!
Around the 2/2.5 year mark, many toddlers start to have fears and anxieties during bedtime/overnight. This may cause wake ups in the night or harder bedtimes. At this age, their imaginations are blossoming and this can cause nightmares/ night terrors! Knowing this can help you be equip and ready with tools to help get them through this time!
I would love to help you and your family specifically if this is something your dealing with and need that extra support!!
