CoAD Alumni! It is that time of year again when we issue the Call for Submissions for the Distinguished Architecture Alumni Award. Each year the Cabinet and Selection Committee look forward to seeing submissions from our deserving alumni. We look for alumni that have built up a portfolio that includes professional accomplishment, community involvement, and service to the College of Architecture and Design. The categories are meant to be open to interpretation to allow a wide range of candidates to be eligible. Have a question? Reach out to us!

CoAD Alumni, on February 27th the College of Architecture and Design and the Alumni Cabinet will be hosting the 2019 Pellerin Travel Fellowship Lecture and announcing the winner of the 2020 Fellowship. Join us for what promises to be an interesting lecture by one of our fellow alumni Simon Eltayar followed by refreshments in the Brick Gallery. Lecture begins at 6pm. Mark your calendar!

Congratulations to Mark Nickita (BSAr'87, BAr'89, MAr'01), who was named the 2019 AIA Detroit's Charles Blessing Award winner!

The Charles Blessing Award recognizes an individual who shows leadership in planning and civic issues and exemplifies the vision, commitment and the accomplishments of Charles A. Blessing, FAIA, the visionary Detroit city planner, architect, engineer and educator who committed himself to the pursuit of a higher quality of life for all.
