Weight Loss Drinks That Made Losing 30kg Easier

1. Warm Lemon Water
Helped me stay hydrated and gave me a simple, low calorie drink to start my day instead of reaching for sugary drinks.

2. Green Tea
A low calorie drink that gave me a little caffeine boost and helped me replace higher calorie drinks while losing weight.

3. Cucumber, Mint & Lemon Infused Water
Made drinking more water easier and helped me stay hydrated throughout the day without adding unnecessary calories.

4. Ginger Tea
Helped me with digestion and bloating and gave me a warm, low calorie drink when I wanted something between meals.

5. Black Coffee
Gave me an energy boost with very few calories when taken without sugar or high calorie creamers. It also helped control my appetite at times.

6. Apple Cider Vinegar Drink
I used diluted ACV as part of my routine. It helped with feeling of fullness for some people, which can make portion control easier.

7. Hibiscus & Clove Tea
A flavorful, low calorie drink that helped me replace sugary drinks while staying hydrated.

None of these drinks magically burns fat. What made them useful was that they helped me stay hydrated, reduce liquid calories and stick to the habits that kept me in a calorie deficit. That’s what ultimately helped me lose 30kg.

If I had to lose 30kg all over again, I wouldn’t start by trying to be perfect.

I’d start with these 7 things:

1. Stop trying to lose weight as fast as possible. I’d focus on habits I could actually maintain.
2. Prioritize protein. It helped me stay fuller and made eating in a calorie deficit much easier.
3. Walk more. I wouldn’t underestimate how much consistent movement adds up.
4. Strength train consistently. I’d focus on building muscle instead of only chasing the number on the scale.
5. Stop starting over every Monday. One bad meal never needed to become a bad week.
6. Make my favorite foods fit. I didn’t need to completely eliminate the foods I enjoyed to lose weight.
7. Focus on consistency, not motivation. Motivation comes and goes. The habits are what changed my body.

Losing 30kg taught me that you don’t need to do everything perfectly.

You need to keep doing the right things long enough to see the results.

And if I had to start from day one again, these are the things I’d focus on first.

8 things I did differently that helped me lose 30kg.

No extremes, just consistency even when I was not motivated.

1. I stopped skipping meals and stick to eating regular meals at regular times, that kept me from overeating later and ended the guilt cycle.

2. Picked workouts I could actually stick to.
I stopped chasing max calorie burn and started choosing what I didn’t dread and enjoyed doing more. That’s the only reason I never quit.

3. Weighed in weekly, not daily.
Daily numbers were just water and stress. Weekly check-ins gave me the real picture without messing with my head.

4. Stopped cutting out entire food groups.
No more “no carbs, no sugar.” I learned to include foods in a way I could keep doing for years, not weeks.

5. Walked more before I worried about the gym.
Before structured workouts, I just moved more daily. It built the habit foundation everything else was stacked on.

6. Prioritized sleep.
Poor sleep wrecked my hunger and energy every time. Fixing sleep fixed a lot of things I thought were willpower problems.

7. Tracked habits, not just food.
I stopped obsessing over every calorie and started asking did I move today, did I eat real meals, did I sleep enough? This helped me stay locked in, once the habits were in place it was easier to deal with food.

8. Gave up quick fixes completely.
Teas, resets all gone. What worked was boring and repeatable, not exciting and temporary.

None of this was about trying harder. It was about doing the same simple things long enough for them to work.
