POV: The Smarties took on the city for the last day of school 🐝✨🥹

It was more than a field trip… it was REAL independence in real time! 💛

The Smarties ordered their own meals, counted money, budgeted while shopping, used self-checkout, chose their own ice cream flavors, spoke confidently to workers, and made thoughtful decisions throughout the day 🛍️🍕🍦

Watching them apply the skills we’ve worked on all year in a real-world setting was truly AMAZING 🥹✨🐝

Our butterflies took flight today 🦋✨😭

The excitement in the room was EVERYTHING.

The Smarties released the butterflies they’ve been caring for and observing over the past few weeks 🥹✨ The cheering, the questions, the emotions, the wonder… it was such a beautiful moment to witness.
