Inauguration Week is officially underway at Stony Brook!

We opened the week at our Stony Brook Southampton campus with an inspiring fireside chat featuring President Andrea Goldsmith and SUNY - The State University of New York Chancellor John B. King Jr.

Their conversation focused on expanding access and making college more affordable, while building systems that support students at every stage. A clear theme emerged: opportunity must be created through strong advising, mentorship and institutional support. They also looked ahead to an AI-driven future, in which public higher education plays a crucial role in ensuring that students have the critical thinking, creativity, and human perspective to thrive.

This is the start of a week leading up to the formal investiture. For more information, visit: https://gosbu.co/4csqUuS
