“I love all of the benefits DIR-S offers, but I don’t know if it will work together on all of the different kinds of devices we use in our organization.”

No problem! From the beginning, a large focus of our development team has been to ensure that DIR-S functions efficiently across all operating systems.

The next question that often arises is, “If we have a mixture of iOS, Windows, and other device types all throughout the organization will the program speak to the other systems as efficiently as if all of the organization’s devices ran on the same operating system?”

The type of operating system makes no difference on the performance of DIR-S or on its ability to quickly communicate with other devices.

Some time ago, an EVACUATE alert was sent out at a school, from a desktop Windows computer because of smoke coming from the cafeteria.

As teachers evacuated the school, they were all able to stay in contact with the other users and administrators connected to the school on Android phones and iPhones.

While this alert was occurring, a district administrator for this school was boarding a cruise ship with his family, and he received the DIR-S Alert on his Apple watch. He was then able to stay updated on the alert and offer remote assistance from hundreds of miles away on his mobile phone.

How do the recent changes to DIR-S and the DIR-S website impact me as a customer?

Answer: only positively!

The greater part of the most recent changes are primarily cosmetic. Where most of our clients and followers have known our company as Tresit Group, and our product as DIR-S. This can get complicated. Our company and product name are now both DIR-S. This brings with it a shiny new website (link in bio)!

DIR-S itself remains basically the same as it has been since the v.5 update last October (2020). There have been minor updates along the way to improve functionality, but nothing that will substantially impact the user experience.

Tresit Group is now DIR-S Inc. DIR-S (the app) is now part of DIR-S Inc. (the company)!

Rebranding our company name to our core product DIR-S, has helped us realign our focus and efforts on the awesome platform we all love; DIR-S.

We will continue to provide great service and keep you in the loop of upcoming events/updates.

We will be making changes to branding gradually such that we avoid causing any negative impacts.

Our changes, for now, will only be cosmetic and won’t have any functional impact. IP ADDRESSES for DIR-S will remain the same. As of now, the changes that have been made should NOT impact any firewalls or servers. However, feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
