Fashion Cult is a practical, hands-on program developed by
Fashion Designer/Educator Mariella Adrian, whom during her
teaching years, updated and re-designed instructional processes to
motivate students, and make their learning process creative, fun,
practical, and effective.

Is Jaden Smith a “Dadaist” or just a celebrity with a massive marketing budget? This Louboutin debut is the perfect example of what Dr. Anne Suchert calls the “Golden Veil” (Goldener Schleier) of language. Using Greek mythology and Nam June Paik references is Fashion School 101—it’s an aesthetic mask for a total lack of technical craft. According to sociologist Andreas Reckwitz, we are trapped in a “Creativity Dispositive” where the performance of being a designer is more important than the actual work. While thousands of talented, trained designers are fighting for a chance, “Superstars” are handed creative directorships like party favors. Jaden’s “Dadaism” isn’t a revolution; it’s the ultimate uniformity of the celebrity era. We don’t need more “Wagnerian heroes”; we need designers who respect the heritage and the craft.
