Never thought I'd be a mom. Then, when I opened my heart to children, I never saw my self as a girl mom. I wanted all boys, but here's the thing... God gives us the children we need & that's exactly it... I have desperately needed both of these girls of mine 🫶🏼.
One that made me a mama, exposed ALL my weaknesses & forced me to grow up. The other that grew, healed & softened my heart. I've needed these girls more than they will ever need me & I feel so immensely grateful to me their mama.
This day is a hard day for so many people as we all have different paths & associations with "motherhood." Sending so much hugs to you all, wherever you're at 💛
Here's some of my favorite moments as a mama of 2 🥰
Happy Mother's Day to you all!

Rule No. 1: Always say yes to adventures
Rule No. 2: Have fun
I am in a season of jumping into races when I feel like it & always saying yes when invited on a run, ESPECIALLY when the survivor trail warrior princess texts you at 10pm asking if you're down 😂 don't have to ask me twice!!
I will note, I wouldn't advise this if you have races on the calendar lol. I don't for a while so I am yolo-ing life right now & it's a dang good time 🤩
I'm not brave enough to go on the trails alone yet so I'll just be busy following + keeping Rhandi company when our schedules align 🥳
Time for a new week & im ready!!
What was your weekend highlight?! 👇🏼

Boston is my favorite course profile 🫶🏼 Over here with major FOMO, especially with the weather looking darn near PERFECT 🤩 how bout that west wind 🙌🏼
These are my top tips from racing the course that held my PR for 6 years!
1️⃣ it's CROWDED at the start; don't waste energy trying to bob & weave... it's actually kind of helpful because it forces you to keep pace conservative at the start & I promise you, you WANT to keep pace conservative those first few miles for this course. When you get close to closing out mile three, start breaking away from the crowd & find race pace.
2️⃣ keep the effort consistent on the hills! Don't worry about pace. Actually, don't even pay attention to it - just keep the effort the same going up those hills. 17-18 will be slower & so will 20-21. It's ok!
3️⃣ the Boston course is one of PATIENCE... there's a reason you really want to take it easy the first few miles because the last 5.2 miles are FAST FAST FAST🔥 you want to have gas in the tank to really let it rip down to that finish 🤩 be confident in conservative early on, KNOWING you have a fast finish waiting for you!!
BONUSES ➡️
🔥 take ALL the carby snacks to the athletes village: dates, apple sauce, honey sticks, bananas, electrolytes, e-fuel carb concentrated drink, etc.
🔥 you're running freaking BOSTON!!! Relax, SMILE, give some high fives, enjoy the experience!
🗣️ Who is running Boston this year?! Share your goal below so I can cheer you on!! 🥳
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!!

UNPOPULAR OPINION👇🏼
Your "fast" carbon plated shoes don't make you fast 🙃 your TRAINING makes you fast 👊🏼
I know there's so much hype on the newest greatest racing shoe & it's tempting to go drop $275 on shoes, I get it, but I promise you the shoe isn't going to magically make you run faster paces.
Exhibit A: I ran in a "faster" saucony speed shoe on Wednesday for my workout. Today, I ran in my Kinvara trainers for my workout & ran faster paces.
You should definitely have various shoes in your rotation but the fancy shoes aren't everything 🫶🏼😉
I know lots of people feel differently lol so let's hear it! How do you feel about the "fast" shoe era?!

It’s been 6 years since we lost you, dad.
A permanent hole in my heart that will never be filled.
I’ve been on edge all day today. Short fused with Vail & snappy. I just want one of your hugs. So badly, I want to hug you one more time.
Every year & day that you’ve been gone has been different. Today I am feeling very angry & so hurt. It’s hard to process days like today with a toddler. There’s no time.
Some days I am joyful & relish in all of who you were. I am trying to replace my anger with joy for the rest of today.
We’ve seen a lot of you lately. Kal, Dana & I saw you on our trip together. Out on the ocean, riding jet ski’s, a white butterfly followed us for a short while. Do you know how hard it is to see a butterfly going fast on a jet ski? You were there 💙 White butterfly’s have continued to show up since you’ve been gone; this is no coincidence. At Kal’s wedding, you stole the show - a down pour & a rainbow… we see you showing off your angel wings!
We love you & gosh do we miss you, Dad 💙

The last few months & years actually, have been a rollercoaster of change & new ventures. Lots of moving, quit my job, started businesses, had a baby, etc. It’s been scary but also fun & exciting. It’s not slowing down quite yet!
I decided to make another addition ☺️ and partner with a new health & wellness company, Q sciences. I am so excited you guys! A company that prioritizes family, faith, fitness, finances, community - this is my jam!
I couldn’t be more busy than I am today but Jesus put these desires in my heart & I can’t deny the goodness that’s happening.
Over the last few months I have learned quickly that I am a born entrepreneur. I am now looking that reality straight in the face & doing the damn thing.
I know this all sounds crazy. Here’s what I know:
I love being busy.
I love leading, teaching & coaching.
I love seeing others succeed & HELPING people chase their dreams.
I love being able to financially contribute to my family.
I love inspiring people to believe they can do it too.
Trust me, the LAST thing I was looking for was to join another network marketing company. I’m already in a leadership role with scout, we got a puppy, I just launched my coaching/training business & we’re starting to plan a future move to Utah.
I don’t have it all figured out but I do know a good thing when I see it & this was something I couldn’t pass up.
What’s to come is something I can’t quite wrap my head around yet, but I’m buckling up!! If you want to hear more, my friends are talking all about it tonight ☺️🥰

Saturday morning workout 👊🏼
Ran 14 miles alternating every mile 7:05-7:10/6:25-6:30
I really didn’t want to workout this morning but I’m glad I did. It’s always on these days that I end up having the most fun during a workout.
Just show up. It’s always worth it!
I’ve been doing things a little different lately 👉🏼 only running about 35-40 miles a week and focusing on building muscle tone & power 4-5 days a week.
It feels good! I feel strong & energized. I’m not getting sore, but hitting weight PR’s & running fast.
Don’t be afraid to switch things up!! If you’re tired and feeling weak, back off the miles & add in more strength 💪🏼 .
Did you make your Saturday morning workout?!

As you know, I partnered with to promote the phantom shoes. Since today is my last post and I’ve had the shoes for about 2 months now, I can give my honest opinion.
At first, I wasn’t too sure about the fit because of the higher ankle than what I’m used to. However, after going for a run in them, I REALLY did like them and have been using them in my shoe rotation for easy runs. They have a decent spring to them, are lightweight and comfortable. After wearing them for 2 months, I give them 👍🏼👍🏼. I’m pretty picky about my shoes and have a hard time finding shoes that fit my wide AF feet, so overall I’ve been pleasantly surprised with these!!

Actual footage of me sprinting out of work today on my way to enjoy a whole week with NO chaos.
BYEEEE 👋🏽.
Who’s traveling for thanksgiving?!
11/17/2019
An hour and 4,000m later 🏊🏼♀️ & back to work I go 🙄.
We were supposed to hike Mt. Baldy today, but (surprise, surprise) I ended up having to work most of the day. I can’t sit for longer than an hour and I get the Sunday scaries pretty bad 🤪 so planning at least an hour of activity into my day makes me less anxious.
1 week till thanksgiving break 🤩 😂.
