On Saturday, members of the NJHS braved the cold with help from the Varsity girls Tennis Team to participate in the 24th annual Island Sit to raise funds for We Care.

We enjoyed movement Bingo with our friends at River Ridge Senior Living last Thursday. We will be heading to North Shore today to mentor students.

🎉We enjoyed playing trivia with our friends at River Ridge yesterday! We were thrilled to be able to sing Happy Birthday to our dear friend, Betty, who turned "19." 🥳 Who was born the same day Elvis was born.
(At RR they invert their birthday number after a certain age.
Also, our students had no idea who Elvis was.😁)

🙌🏽We had SO much fun with our friends, we were a little late walking back to Baseline Middle School. My apologies to our rides.

🍁This fall, the Baseline Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society has been actively engaging with our community. In October and November, we visited the River Ridge assisted living facility. During our visits, we enjoyed playing games, painting, and learning more about the residents.

💙In honor of Veterans Day, we had the privilege of creating cards, writing letters, and expressing our gratitude to our Veterans at the Baseline Veterans breakfast. These tokens of appreciation were also distributed to local Veterans at various community events.

📚November was a busy month as we also mentored 4th and 5th grade students at North Shore Elementary in reading, mathematics, & Social Studies. We are committed to helping them gain confidence in their learning and will return in January to continue our support.

🎄Yesterday, we sang Christmas carols with our friends at River Ridge Senior Living and today and our holiday cards are being dropped off to the residents of Laurel Oaks assisted living facility.

🎁Next week, we will assist with gift wrapping at the North Shore Santa Store. We are always grateful for the opportunity to serve and support our community.
