The Trump administration has hijacked the traditionally non-political and non-controversial process for accrediting institutions and turned it into a rigged and blunt instrument for forcing colleges and universities to comply with Trump's ideological mandates on issues such as DEI, “viewpoint diversity,” academic freedom, and research funding.
