Monterey Bay Academy Alumni Endowment An Endowment by the Alumni of MBA, for the benefit of students of Monterey Bay Academy.

The Monterey Bay Academy Alumni Endowment is a Non-Profit Corporation founded and funded by the alumni of MBA. Donations to the Alumni Endowment are invested conservatively with annual earnings going toward scholarships for outstanding MBA students.

Who are the new Alumni Scholars for 2015?

The Endowment is composed of several named funds including the general fund. For example the general fund supplies the money for the Alumni Scholar awards.
The Turpen fund, started by Dr. Larry Turpen, a member of the board, awards scholarships to students who prepare a report describing a viable solution to a real-world problem.
The Richli Fund, provides funds for MBA faculty to pursue specialized training to improve their knowledge and skills. The Richli fund is managed by Dr. Ramona Clark, a board member and recent Hall off Faith award recipient.
These are just a few of the funds within the Alumni Endowment. There are others which will be described in the future. In all cases the funds within the Endowment rely on the generosity of donors which almost exclusively are you, the alumni of MBA.

The MBA Alumni Endowment is going to be giving away scholarships worth thousands of dollars to exceptional students 23 April, Thursday evening. It is our pleasure and honor to participate in these awards again. The big question now is who the recipients will be?
The Alumni Scholars will each be recieving $2500 toward their expenses at MBA. This amount goes a long way to easing the burdens of tuition and room and board. We are working to increase the amount awarded in future years.

MBA has four new Alumni Scholars for 2013
Congratulations to the winners!
Sydney Larsen (Sr), Kelly Larios (Jr) , Diane Abello (So), Torie Palmer (Fr).

This was a year of several firsts. This was the first year the winners were all female, it was also the first year that someone had won the award more than once (Diane Abello won her freshman year), and it was the first time family members had won two years in a row (Daniel Larios & Kelley Larios).

This was a great group.
