Santa was very good to us this year…a beautiful sparkling rosé from the Loire Valley. You have to check out and their amazing Champagne Club. It feels like Christmas morning every three months when we pick up our bottles of bubbles.

A few weekends ago we had the pleasure of participating in the 7th Annual Birdies for Breast Cancer golf tournament supporting Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach. Whether you’re a patient, family member, friend, loved one, or caregiver, the Cancer Support Community offers a variety of professionally-led programs designed to assist you. Did you know they have 175 locations worldwide? My Mom utilized their weekly in home therapy resources in our area. Best of all, their programs are offered at no cost to anyone impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

Hi, I’m Megan! Thank you so much for following The Pink Wine Society! Why did I start TPWS? When my Mom was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer in December of 2015, she was inundated with the color PINK! At her first surgical appointment they gave her a PINK bag containing everything she didn’t want to know about MBC. Her dearest friends & family sent her PINK ribbons, PINK scarves, PINK pins, PINK hats, PINK t-shirts, and PINK flowers. It got to the point where we despised the color PINK. Then we started realizing that the color PINK was chosen not to make us feel defeated but to unite, empower, & inform women affected by this horrific disease. So I wanted to take my love of rosé wine and combine it with the continued fight against Breast Cancer - both PINK! Mom lost her fight against metastatic breast cancer in 2018. Through that extremely difficult journey, we found out after genetic testing, our family carries a lesser known genetic mutation that increases our risk of cancer especially that of breast cancer. I hope to educate women on everything I learned through that journey and have fun exploring my other passion - rosé wine!

Ironic, we think not! We are ready to officially launch The Pink Wine Society and it so happens to be the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! The Pink Wine Society is a movement centered around a passion for rosé wine, with a deep commitment to spreading awareness about breast cancer. The color pink blushes in the glass and curves to form a ribbon that celebrates fighters, survivors, and those always remembered. It is a movement that aims to educate, entertain, and always enrich. Let the journey begin!
