My Pops, Martin Bouma, passed away on February 7 at 91 years. He was the smartest man I knew, ( or had me fooled!), had a fantastic sense of humor and a nickname for everyone- I will miss hearing him calling out, “ hey Merf!” when I would call. He was a beloved physician for many years, because he loved what he did- helping others. Golf was his passion and he scored his age consistently. When golf became more difficult, he would walk El Dorado Park two miles twice a day! He was a life-long learner and a friend to all. He will be missed by many, but our comfort is knowing he is with his Father in heaven- and we’ll see him again someday. Miss you, Pops! ❤️

I am so proud of my 3 kids who are serving our country. Thank you for your service Kenny, Brendan and Joshski! If it weren’t for people like you, our country would be ….. well, not even a country! Love you all ( and Syd, Spencer and Aves too) Thank a service person or two or three today. Their lives, and their families’ lives are truly a sacrifice for their country. Thank you for your service Sirs and Madam!!

Excellent time at Repris Winery in Sonoma. Ordered too much wine but it was so so good! You have to book a tour with Repris when you go to Sonoma the next time. They know hospitality and they know how to make great wine!!

It’s been a helluva two and a half weeks since an ugly tumor was found in Avery’s brain. Surgery yanked that sucker out on the 20th- no cancer but leaving a long “ lazy S” scar down the left side of Avery’s skull ( I’m sparing you the scary pictures) and ugly tumor is dead. Check out the CLEAN hair and happy face! Thank you to ALL of your prayers and good thoughts. The Bredesen’s are finally on their way home from Houston to the Panhandle of FL ( Uneffected by Ian thankfully). Aves is on her way to complete recovery! Ps she’ll be sporting a cool new hairstyle to rock her badge of honor so stay tuned.

30 years ago today the world was blessed with this incredible girl who brought sunshine to my life. Happy birthday to my Ray of Sunshine, Kenny Ken, Ray Ray, the amazing bad ass rock star of a woman . Lava ewe so much. 🥰🥳🎂❤️❤️

This total bad ass of a daughter is tackling the Leadville Silver Rush 50 mile run today. That’s almost 8,000’elevation gain with the highest point at just over 12,000’ !! I’ve never known someone quite this determined and tough. One proud mama…

Epic Girls’ FlyFishing Weekend with our totally awesome guide/instructor/all around great guy Sam Kinney with Trouts. Sam brought us to the Blue and the Eagle rivers to experience all we learned and we not only looked good, but fished good!! A most excellent time with a very compatible group: Janet, Rash and I learned tons but fished till our bodies were dead… ask us anything about knots, bugs, flies and casting and we can clue you in. Thanks to Janet and Rash for providing me with lots of laughter, awe moments and excellent conversation. 🎣🐟🦅Join us next time! . Fish On!!
