Took my daughter to a cafe after dance class and brought her letter-tracing book instead. Honestly, it was awesome just watching her work on her pencil grip and focus without a screen in front of her for a change lol.

At KMATS, we talk a ton about foundational skills. Long before we get to algebra, it starts right hereā€”learning patience, building fine motor skills, and just figuring out how to learn. Love seeing it click for her!!

KMATS Tutoring has officially reached capacity ā€” we now have a waitlist.

Honestly this is a huge milestone - and one worth pausing, celebrating, and reflecting upon - itā€™s all been driven by results, referrals, and families spreading the word.

I never take that trust for granted.

While most new requests come during the busy 4ā€“8pm evening window (which overlaps with important family time for me), the bigger picture is actually quite simple:

Iā€™m committed to maintaining high-quality, focused sessions for the students I currently serve.

Sessions where students look forward to meeting weekly, and leave with a stronger understanding of the concepts we just finished working on.

Because of that, new students will be added to a short waitlist, and Iā€™m actively exploring bringing another expert tutor onto the team so we can continue to grow the right way.

Thank you to every parent and every student whoā€™s entrusted KMATS. šŸ™šŸ½

Five years ago, when I started my tutoring business, I was so passionate about entrepreneurship that I wanted to convince everyone I knew to consider it. Today, I see things differently. Entrepreneurship isnā€™t for everyoneā€”it requires resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace uncertainty. But for me, it has been one of the most rewarding paths I could have taken.

The ability to work from anywhere, support students in their learning journeys, and build something meaningful on my own terms is something I donā€™t take for granted. Grateful for the lessons, the challenges, and the freedom that comes with it.
