Elohim (The Supreme Being) - The Father
The Father is the Only True Elohim
Yahushua, as He prayed in John 17, recognized His Heavenly Father as the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM. This is an extremely important Scripture in identifying WHO the True Elohim is.
“These words spoke Yahushua, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee . . . and this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM, and Yahushua Messiah, Whom Thou hast sent” (John 17:1-3). Here Yahushua acknowledges His Father as the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM. Can we accept Yahushua's own testimony on this matter? If we cannot accept the testimony of Yahushua, whose testimony will we receive?
“But to us there is but ONE ELOHIM, THE FATHER, of Whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Master Yahushua Messiah, by Whom are all things, and we by Him” (1 Corinthians 8:6).
There is ONLY ONE ETERNAL ELOHIM, and that is the FATHER.
Elohim, the Father, is the source of everything - ”of Whom are all things." Yahushua was the agent He used in the work of creation - ”by Whom are all things." “Elohim . . . created all things by Yahushua Messiah” (Ephesians 3:9). Yahushua was the agent . . . but He used Elohim’s power in doing the creative work. Therefore Yahuwah is the Creator as Isaiah 40:28 states, because it was by His power that all things were brought into existence.
"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, the everlasting Elohim, Yahuwah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding" (Isaiah 40:28). As we begin our study on the subject of the Deity, we would like to first of all see what the Bible has to say about Yahuwah or Elohim, the Father.
