I had never been to Glacier National Park before, so when our friends invited us on an adventure, we said yes!
The park is truly an incredible experience. It was chilly the first day and we were very underdressed, but thankfully some cute (and warm!) Glacier apparel was available at the lodges. It was a bit warmer the second day, and we felt super fortunate to have excellent weather for our long hike. It was very windy and cold at the top by the glacier, but the rest of the hike was comfortably cool and more mild.
I had never seen a bear, moose or ram in the wild, and it definitely got my heart pumping to see them so close. Especially when the 300+ lbs ram walked directly onto our path, just casually eating berries, and then immediately after our path crossed less then 100 feet from 3 moose 😅 But they were honestly unbothered, and no one on the trail was being reckless or getting closer, so thankfully that gave me courage to keep going.
Any hoooooo I hope you enjoy this tangent in my content and are inspired to visit a national park sometime, or even a state park near you! They are such amazing resources and opportunities to experience nature.
