Help!
Previous owners painted the tile flooring in the bathroom. It's chipping, uneven and looks awful. Retiling right now is NOT an option.
I do not love the idea of repainting it, but it still needs a temporary fix to not look this janky.
What should I do? Try and strip the paint and repaint? Strip the paint and regrout? Not sure about that option because these tiles are tiny - that would be tedious.
* Long term plan is to retile *

Any suggestions on what to do with this space? My daughter and her fiancée are in the process of buying this house. Not sure why the cabinets weren’t taken to the wall (maybe because of outlet??) but would like to help her come up with an idea. i already got them some amazing handmade decor from hobby lobby They aren’t in a position to be remodeling the kitchen. All I can think of is shelves. Suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!

I have a good size country kitchen and don’t want to spend the money to paint them (no I don’t want to do it myself). I am thinking of just restoring them and new lacquer and hardware and that is expensive enough.
Am I crazy or are they really as ugly as people say they are and any thoughts on updating. Appreciate all feedback. I just love this group! TYIA""

Weird architecture all original other half of wall is a huge original closet with shelves

My 1928 front porch which is cement with river rock underneath is settling and cracking. I am not sure if there is river rock all over underneath. I don’t think the pillar is sinking. On the picture of the house it is the left side pillar part of the porch that is cracking. I am trying to figure out if putting DG dirt around the foundation to angle water away. Will I need to have a new porch sometime soon? What could be causing moving. I had the foundation checked about 6 mo ths ago and they said it was good.

Hey old house gurus! I'm still renovating my old house (1938 colonial revival) and my sister wants to have her wedding "reception" here.
It's a super small wedding, like 15 people. The hardwood floors need refinished, but like I said I'm still in the middle of renovations and won't have time. What can I use to give them a little shine? They're pretty worn and dull, and the sealant is basically nonexistent so Im hesitant to cause any damage. 

Any ideas welcomed. We have these, I don’t know what they’re called, but have one in each side of the bed. I already have trouble climbing into bed because of bad knees. These are very uncomfortable to cling on if iver. They are to far out and in the way of easily climbing into bed. Has anyone ever removed them or shortened them. What we see under them is our outside storage area that goes all the way through to other side. Pictures appreciated of before and after. Thank you so much for any input.

My parents bought the house 6 months ago after a company flipped it. This happened today. What next?
Any idea for next steps and what their options are? They contacted the company and they said they could have someone come out on Monday to look at it. Do they have grounds to sue here for endangerment? They have our grandkids running around and someone could have been seriously injured if not worse.
