6 DAYS until Miner Mayhem 2026! What are you looking forward to the most?
We are looking forward to seeing all of the hard work that you have put into your robots! We have been loving seeing the pictures of all of them, and cannot wait to watch them in action!

In the spirit of seeing the work put into your robots, we wanted to share with you some of what we have been working on to prepare for Saturday! The video we have here is us testing some of the improvements being made to the 3lb arena! The aluminum flooring is being modified to allow for improved portability of the arena for demonstrations and events we will travel to. Don't you worry, we still plan to have a steel flooring for tournament this Saturday!

It's ONE week until Miner Mayhem 2026! We have spent all of this week working towards making this year's Mayhem totally awesome. We cannot wait to see you all there!

Registered Competitors: You have until this upcoming Wednesday (March 25th) at 5 PM to get us your robot photos and shirt sizes!! If we do not get these by the deadline, we cannot guarantee your participation in tournament or that your team receives shirts. If you miss this deadline, you are still welcome to attend the tournament and watch the "chaos".

VOLUNTEERS: We are still in need of judges for this year's tournament! Visit our tournament site to learn more and sign up!!

Thank you all for being so awesome and innovative with your designs, we have been loving to see all your robots! Also, keep an eye out for posts throughout this next week.

Are you ready for the Mayhem?

Miner Mayhem 2026 is just two weeks away, and we couldn't be more excited! We have been working hard to make sure the tournament runs as smoothly as possible this year. We are super excited for you to see what we have been working on!

Competitors:
You should have all received emails from us regarding the information we need from you to finalize your registration for the event. Note that we need this information by no later than March 20th. If you have not received any emails regarding this information, reach our to us as soon as possible at [email protected].

Volunteers:
You will be receiving information regarding training material for your respective volunteer roles on March 20th. Until then, we have the training videos that we will send out available on the tournament page of our website! We are thankful for you and your time in helping to run the tournament this year.

Volunteers are needed!

The Miner Mayhem tournament has only ever run smoothly through the help of our very generous volunteers. As Miner Mayhem is quickly approaching, we are in dire need for volunteers to sign up. Even if you are only available for part of the day, consider lending a hand at this year's tournament.

By signing up to volunteer, you are helping us to maintain a happy and fun atmosphere at the tournament. Oh, and did we mention that lunch vouchers will be provided. We will have a variety of food trucks available at the event, and will provide refreshments throughout the tournament.

Come visit us on Thursday March 5, 2026 at Valencia High School's STEM Day event. We will have a demonstration booth from 8 to 10:30 AM! We plan to bring along a couple of new(ish) robots for you all to see!

At the 2025 NM AMP Conference 9 NM students presented posters on their undergraduate research efforts. And attended workshops and STEM networking events with HS, community college, and 4 year colleges from across NM.
3 of the students are also NMT Miner Mayhem Outreach Mentors.
