Not fame, notoriety, wealth, power, significance, but HIM.

A wave of persecution hit the early church in Jerusalem.
Men and women were being dragged out of their homes and thrown in prison - because they preached that Jesus was the Messiah.
The Bible says that all the believers except the apostles left Jerusalem and were scattered in the surrounding regions.
They scattered, but they were not silent.
They preached the gospel everywhere they went.
Persecution led to greater boldness and courage an to many more lives believing the good news about Jesus and repenting of their sin.
Acts 8:1-4

In the New Testament church, the believers did not curse their persecutors.
They prayed for them.
Even as their persecutors stoned and killed them.
They prayed for them.

God is sovereign.
God is dependable.
God is all-powerful.
And He knows and loves YOU. He knows and loves ME.
Let us turn to Him and serve Him in full surrender.
Because no matter what is happening in the world, when you belong to Him, you are safely held in the palm of His hand.

Just as the Lord saw the suffering of His people as slaves to Egypt, He sees your suffering.
He sees your pain, your sickness, your hurt, your struggle with sin, your loneliness.
He comes to you with healing, deliverance, restoration.
Are you ready to surrender to His care?
Are you willing to trust this invisible, inscrutable God with your very life?
As He delivered Israel from Egypt way back then, He is willing, able and ready to deliver you now.

👉🏽 strengthens you
👉🏽 makes a way out of no way for you
Is something a burden in your life today?
Give it to the Lord.
He will not abandon you.
And if you don’t know Him, now is the time to surrender your life to Him.

My Christian friends, read the Bible. Read it for yourselves.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what God wants you to learn.
There’s a lot of false teaching out there.
The only way you will guard your heart against deception is to know God’s word for yourself.

We can experience Jesus’ presence, His healing, His provision, His miracles… and STILL choose not to live for Him.
Proximity and surrender are 2 different and separate things!
Let’s not mistake our seeming nearness to God - going to church, singing on the choir, reading Bible-adjacent quotes - for relationship with Him.
Let’s not confuse our experience of being blessed by Him, with actually living a life surrendered to Him.
Jesus challenges us to respond to His goodness by surrendering our lives to Him.

Our view of the .
It was phenomenal. One of the residents in our subdivision set up a telescope. That view was amazing.
Our awesome God created an amazing world.
A guest on a newscast said that the sun is 400x larger than the moon, but is ‘coincidentally’ 400 times closer to the sun which is why it seems to be the same size from earth.
No my friend. It’s not a coincidence. It’s God’s design.
