Last year, we had the privilege of producing and participating in an inspiring International Women’s Day panel discussion, where a group of phenomenal women entrepreneurs came together to share wisdom, real stories, and powerful insights about leadership, resilience, and building businesses with purpose.
The conversation was authentic, empowering, and filled with the kind of knowledge that only comes from women who are actively doing the work in their industries.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2026, I want to take a moment to recognize and give a special shout-out to these incredible women who continue to lead, innovate, and make an impact in their communities and businesses.
Their commitment to entrepreneurship, collaboration, and lifting others as they climb is exactly what the spirit of represents.
If you missed the original discussion, I invite you to watch the replay and be part of the conversation. You’ll hear practical insights, encouraging stories, and powerful perspectives from women who are building meaningful careers and creating opportunities for others along the way.

AI Skills & Strategies
A "human-in-the-loop" (HITL) verification protocol is a structured review process that treats AI as a highly efficient "junior colleague" or "intern" that requires ongoing guidance, training, and oversight, rather than acting as an independent expert.
Because businesses remain fully liable for their AI’s outputs, a HITL protocol is required to prevent "AI hallucinations" (fabricated information), ensure compliance, and maintain brand trust.
Based on the sources, a robust human-in-the-loop protocol typically includes the following stages and checkpoints:
1. Fact-Checking and Source Verification
* Manual Verification: Humans must manually verify all AI-generated assertions, facts, statistics, and product specifications before they are published.
* Cross-Checking: Reviewers must cross-check citations against trusted internal knowledge bases or verified databases to ensure that the referenced sources actually exist and are current.
2. Bias Detection and Logic Review
* Reasoning Quality: Humans should review the logic and reasoning behind the AI's conclusions, rather than just accepting the final output.
* Bias Monitoring: If AI is used as a recommendation tool for sensitive decisions—such as hiring, performance reviews, or disciplinary actions—humans must actively check for discriminatory patterns or mischaracterizations to ensure biased training data do not negatively impact protected groups.
3. Quality Assurance (QA) and Brand Alignment
* SME and Brand Checks: A practical content workflow involves a human QA step where Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) verify the accuracy, validate the point of view (POV), and ensure the content aligns with the company's approved brand voice and vocabulary.
4. Legal and Ethical Compliance
* Jurisdiction and Rules: For professional or legal content, reviewers must confirm that the AI output reflects the correct jurisdiction and adheres to formatting requirements and procedural rules.
* Ethical Standards: The content must be evaluated to ensure it meets necessary ethical guidelines and professional responsibility requirements.
5. Workflow Integration and Final Sign-Off
* Approval Gates: Automation tools like Relay.app and Activepieces are specifically designed for HITL workflows, allowing automations to pause for manual human review and approval steps.
* Override Authority: Humans must maintain the ability to override AI recommendations based on legitimate business needs or individual qualifications.
* Mandatory Human Approval: The protocol must enforce a strict rule that no AI-generated work—whether it is public marketing content, client emails, or legal documents—can be released without a final human sign-off.
