We’re officially OPEN! ✂️✨

Yesterday was an absolute dream as we celebrated our official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the incredible Smithtown Chamber of Commerce! We were so honored to welcome our local business community, neighbors, and local and Suffolk County legislators into our new space to mark this milestone.

This studio was built with so much love, and we couldn’t be more excited to officially open our doors to the Smithtown community. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, support, and cheer us on—we’re just getting started! 🥂🎉

The Holidays at TBK are here! 🎄✨

The most magical time of year is coming to our kitchen from November 1 through December 31! Holiday classes, parties, and corporate team-building events are officially open for booking. The first 10 people to book a class/event happening between November 1st and December 31st will receive a free apron!

The kitchen is one of the best places for kids to build confidence and independence. From the first time they crack an egg to safely preparing a complete meal, these are five kitchen skills every young chef should feel comfortable with before they leave home:

🔪 How to Use a Knife Safely
Use a stable cutting surface, keep your fingers tucked using a ""claw grip,"" and always cut away from your hand. Start with softer ingredients before working up to harder vegetables.

🥚 How to Crack an Egg
Tap the egg gently on a flat surface, then use your thumbs to pull the shell apart over a bowl. If any shell pieces fall in, use a larger piece of shell to scoop them out.

✂️ How to Use Kitchen Scissors
Kitchen scissors are a great beginner-friendly tool for snipping herbs and prepping ingredients. Always cut on a stable surface and keep fingers away from the blades.

🌡️ How to Know When Chicken Is Fully Cooked
Use a food thermometer and insert it into the thickest part of the chicken, avoiding the bone. Chicken is fully cooked when it reaches 165°F.

🍝 How to Tell When Pasta Is Al Dente
Start checking pasta 1–2 minutes before the package cooking time. Remove a piece, let it cool slightly, and take a bite. It should be tender with a slight bite in the center.
