A picture says 1,000 words…

I wear many hats and carry several titles but Coach will forever be my favorite.

To my athletes…

I hope one day you get to see yourself the way I see you.

I hope you see your strength, even in the moments you feel defeated.

I hope you realize that your mistakes have never made me see less in you.

I hope you know that when I push you, challenge you, correct you and expect more from you, it’s because I already see what you’re capable of, even when you don’t.

I see more than the athlete, more than the stats, more than the wins and losses.

I see YOU.

I see the growth you don’t always notice.
I see the confidence you’re still learning to own.
I see the person you’re becoming right in front of my eyes. Future you would be so proud!

When I’m no longer the Coach standing beside you, I hope my voice is still somewhere in your head reminding you…You can. You always could and that greatness has always lived inside of you.

When will it get easier?

Maybe never.

The hard things don’t disappear. They just stop convincing you that you can’t handle them.

How many dreams have been abandoned because someone believed a mistake meant they weren’t capable?

Bad game…Failed relationship…Missed opportunity…Wrong decision…

Okay...now what?

None of those moments have the power to define you!

The story you tell yourself AFTER you fail will either keep you stuck or help you grow.

You still have the same gifts.
The same potential.
The same opportunity to grow.

Don’t let one moment become the story you tell yourself for the rest of your life.

Fail.
Learn.
Adjust.
Keep going.

"Mommy, are you okay?"

"Mommy's fine."

That was my answer. The truth? I wasn't.

I had become really good at falling apart in private and pulling myself together before anyone else woke up.

I was exhausted.
My body hurt.
My mind wouldn't stop racing.

But I kept saying I was fine.

Six years ago, I died from a sudden cardiac arrest. When people hear that part of my story, they usually focus on the miracle.

What changed me most wasn't dying. It was realizing how long I had been lying to myself before it happened.

I wasn't fine. I was just used to carrying too much.

The problem with later is that later isn't promised.

My newest blog, “Not Fine, Just Used to It”, is live.

It's a personal reflection on the moment I realized that "fine" and "okay" are not always the same thing.

If you've ever said "I'm fine" when you really weren't, this one is for you.

WE’RE BACK... and we’re better! A lot has happened in the offseason.

I’ve watched them get stronger.
I’ve watched their confidence grow.
I’ve watched them commit to getting better.

83 days until the start of the season (not that anyone is counting 😂)

Conditioning starts June 8th at 2:30 PM.

I can’t wait to be back in the gym!
