Ocean temperatures took a slight dive this week, but striped bass are heading up Chesapeake tributaries in full force, if not already actively spawning. Meanwhile, some larger fish are moving into southern and central New Jersey as anglers from New York to Massachusetts are cashing in on resident winter holdover stripers.

Striper Migration Maps are back. After another mild winter, water temperatures are above average (similar to what we saw in 2023). Inshore waters of the Chesapeake are warming past 50 degrees and bass are moving into the tributaries to spawn.
