Sioux Central Band Students & Parents,

It seems that there was some confusion about the dates of our spring music events, so I thought I would send these out to everyone.

3/5 - HS Pops Concert - 7pm (HS Band/Choir/Jazz Band)
3/19 - Recital Night - 5-8:00pm - Grades 6-8 - I am working on a schedule for when each group performs and will send that out.
4/6 - Track Concessions (more info to come about that)
4/11 - HS Solo/Ensemble - Only select students
4/13 - Elementary Spring Concert - 6:00pm - students line up in classrooms at 5:45.
4/27 - Track Concessions
5/4 - MS Spring Concert 7pm - PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE - I put it on my calendar as the wrong date.
5/8 - HS Spring Concert/Fine Arts Night - 7pm
5/9 - HS Large Group Festival - HS Band is NOT participating in the festival this year due to scheduling conflicts. We may attend a concert band festival during the day on 4/23.
5/17 - Graduation - 2pm - HS Band/Choir students only

Dear MS/HS Music Families,

As we prepare for Christmas break, we wanted to share this reminder now so it doesn’t get lost in the busyness of the season.

Our Music Boosters Soup Supper on Friday, January 9 is an important fundraiser for our music program, and the support we receive directly helps provide meaningful opportunities for our students.

Funds raised go toward things like Honor Band and Honor Choir participation, All-State fees, music trips, guest clinicians, and paying our accompanist - all experiences that enrich our students’ musical education and allow them to grow beyond the classroom.

Thank you to the families who were able to sign up at our Holiday Concert! We are still in need of additional volunteers and food donations to support this event. Whether you are able to donate a soup or volunteer your time, every contribution truly makes a difference and helps us continue offering these opportunities to our students.

We know families are busy, and we are so grateful for any level of support you are able to provide. Please take a moment to look over the attached sign-up form and consider how you might be able to help.

Thank you for supporting our music students and helping us make this event a success. We couldn’t do this without you!

🎶 Join Us for an Evening of Winter Music! 🎶

Our 6-12 grade vocal and instrumental students are excited to present their winter concert on Monday, December 15th at 7:00 PM in the High School Gym. Come enjoy a night of music-making as our students share the sounds of the season!

Student Details:
• Middle School: Please dress nicely
• High School: Concert black attire
• All students should be in the gym bleachers and ready by 6:40 PM

We can’t wait to spread some holiday cheer with our wonderful community. See you there!

Parents and Guardians,

Our TK-5 Winter Concert is December 18th, 2025, at 6:30pm in the high school gym. Please note the earlier start time from previous years. The students have been working hard and are excited to share what they have been working on with all of you! Students are encouraged to wear their best holiday/festive dress clothes. Elementary classrooms will be open for students to line up at 6:15 so we can have students line up in their concert order and get settled in their spots in the gym. This process may take some time, so arriving on time will ensure a timely start to the concert.

We hope to see you all there!

I just want to give a shout out to Mr. Price for organizing a field trip for the JH & HS music students to have a private screening of Wicked: For Good in Spencer today. We took 130 students (which shows how many students are involved in music at Sioux Central) and had absolutely zero issues. Everything ran very smoothly and the students were wonderful ambassadors for our school. Managers from both restaurants commented on how well behaved and courteous our students were. All the students I talked to said that it was a good experience and they were glad they went. - Mr. Perry

🎶 Mark Your Calendars! 🎶

The 6-12 Vocal Music students will present their first concert of the school year on Monday, November 3rd at 7:00 PM in the High School Gym! Student arrival times will be announced soon.

Join us for an evening of music-making as these talented musicians share what they’ve been working on throughout Quarter 1! It’s sure to be a great night of performances!
