We had such a great time last night at the SDPPA Photowalk at McKennan Park! The grounds team there for Sioux Falls Parks and Rec do such an excellent job, and Morgan Delange was such a terrific model!

SDPPA is looking to host, for the first time in a long time, a State Photography Convention! Classes, Vendors, Demos, Photo Contests, etc... but we need your help! What thoughts do you have - class topics, speakers, styled shoots, any input is welcome!!!

We had such an amazing time this past Monday at the FREE Photography Event sponsored by SDPPA!

The awesome figure skater Kenzie, model for us as we treked out on the ice to capture stunning images! Of course by pure random luck we picked the nicest day of February for the event... so we sacrificed a little bit of slush on top of the ice... for really amazing conditions for an outdoor winter photoshoot!

Week 7 - Love

Valentine's Day is this week!!! What better theme for this weeks photo challenge than LOVE!

You can capture couples, families, pets, your hometown... anything that says "LOVE" to you is A-OK with us!

Week 6 - Long Exposure
Long Exposure photography can be a major challenge... but the results can also be magical! Try your hand this week at capturing some stunning long exposure images!

Whether you are shooting after the late in the evening, after the sun goes down, or your just trying to get a really cool creative effect, you can create a masterpiece shot by slowing down your shutter speed and adjusting your ISO and Aperture to compensate! Give it a try!

It's Another SDPPA Photography Event!
Who's ready to capture some Amazing Ice Skating Images!
Monday, February 13th @ 5pm at the McKennan Park Ice Rink

We have an amazing figure skater lined up to model a truly breath taking shoot! And best of all it is completely free to any photographers that want to join us! Bring your fancy mirrorless camera, your old DSLR, your point and shoot, or just your smartphone... we don't mind either way! Just get out of the house and come create beautiful photography with the south South Dakota Professional Photographers Association!

Week 4 - Home Town Pride!
From the "Big Cities" of Sioux Falls and Rapid all the way to the 2 folks that live in Hillsview... we all have great pride in being South Dakotans and for our hometown! This week we want you to show it off!

Whether it's a shot of your local water tower, High School Football Stadium, Population Sign, or other iconic place in town.. we want to see your awesome city!
