Well-articulated theology is worthless unless it makes a tangible difference in how one lives. As James said, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves” (James 1:22, ESV), and “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” (James 2:17, ESV).

Orthodoxy (right belief) must exist hand-in-hand with orthopraxy (right action). This does not mean, however, that doctrine is unimportant. Doctrine anchors belief and practice.
Basically, the Christianity you live by is worthless unless your words and actions demonstrate your faith in unison.

The idea just came to mind that sin is a sickness, and it really is. Here you are going about your life feeling healthy, then suddenly you come down with a case of judgment, with symptoms including hostility, contempt, and apathy. Or, you might get infected with selfishness or seasonal dishonesty. Sin is comparable to an infectious bacteria- just out there poisoning people. I am thankful for the antibiotics Christacycline and HolySpiriticillin that help me fight off sin infections.
