The results are in, and while this chapter closes differently than we hoped, my heart is full.
To everyone who voted for me, showed up, donated, shared a post, or simply said "I believe in you" - thank you. You gave me something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Your faith in this campaign meant everything.
To my campaign team, the people who gave their time, their energy, and their hearts to this race - I am in awe of you. You knocked on doors, made calls, showed up early and stayed late, and never stopped believing in what we were trying to build. I could not have done any of this without you, and I am so very grateful.
To my family, you are my foundation and my reason. You sacrificed alongside me, held me up on the hard days, and celebrated every small win with as much joy as I did. Your love carried me through this entire journey, and I don't take a single moment of that for granted.
I also want to thank Steven Auclair, President of the Ventura County Democratic Club, for seeing something in me and asking me to step into this race. His guidance shaped this journey in ways that will stay with me. I am grateful for the experience he helped create.
This has never been about recognition for me. I run because I see needs in this community that aren't being met, real needs that affect real people. At its core, government should unite us. It should make sure every person is seen and supported, every voice matters, and the well-being of our community always comes first. That is the kind of leadership Ventura County District 4 deserves, and that sentiment will never change for me.
This outcome does not mean stepping back. If anything, it deepens my commitment. I will continue to show up for the cleanup of the Santa Susana Field Laboratory, for seniors who deserve dignity in their healthcare, for families who just want to afford a home in the community they love, and for every resident whose voice deserves to be heard at the table, not just near it.
I will always be showing up, speaking out, and pushing for the Ventura County we deserve in order to thrive.
This community will always have my heart, no matter what role I'm in.
With gratitude and determination,
Ruth Luevanos

The polls are closed, and no matter what the results bring, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.
To every single person who cast their vote… THANK YOU! Your trust means everything to me, and I don't take it lightly. Whether you've supported me from day one or made your decision in the final days, I am deeply honored. This campaign has always been about Making Your Voice Heard and you did just that today.
To my incredible team: The volunteers, organizers, and supporters who knocked on doors, made phone calls, and gave their time and energy to this campaign, words cannot express how grateful I am. You believed in this vision and worked tirelessly to make it a reality. I am so lucky to have had you all by my side.
To my family: You are my foundation. Your love, patience, and unwavering support carried me through every long day and every challenging moment. I could not have done any of this without you. I love you more than you know.
Now, it's a waiting game, and we wait together. The results will tell us who will be the next Ventura County Supervisor for District 4, but what I already know for certain is this: this community is worth fighting for, and that will never change.
We Rose Together and whatever comes next, we will continue to rise.

When facts support the record, it's not misinformation or negative campaigning. It's ACCOUNTABILITY
The families of Lemonwood showed up. They testified. They organized. They did everything right.
And Supervisor Janice Parvin voted against them anyway.
In February 2023, Parvin cast the deciding vote to approve re-drilling two oil wells in the Lemonwood neighborhood of Oxnard, less than a mile and a half from Lemonwood Elementary School. The permit dates back to 1957. No environmental review was required. No new protections for the community were added.
Here is what voters need to know: this did not have to happen. In 2020, the county had already closed this loophole by requiring environmental review for all drilling projects regardless of permit age. The oil industry spent millions to gut those protections at the ballot box in June 2022, outspending environmental groups 7 to 1. Seven months later, Parvin voted yes on the ABA Energy wells. The loophole they helped keep open was the same one she used.
Studies consistently link that kind of proximity to childhood cancer, asthma, birth defects, and developmental harm in young children. Sixty percent of Ventura County residents living within 2,500 feet of a well are Latino. This isn't the only time where Parvin has voted against the interests of Latinos and Hispanics.
This community deserves better. Our kids deserve better. Ruth Luevanos will fight for them.
Tomorrow, June 2, vote for the candidate who will advocate for families, for clean air in our neighborhoods, and for a future where we can all thrive.
Vote for Ruth Luevanos for Ventura County Supervisor, District 4.
