The band is known for its powerful sound, style, precision approach is very unique not using standard step two patterns. Percussion feature and approach gives the band a different edge that others. The bands style is entitled gumboish because various styles from HBCU Bands are used to creates The Huntington Band Style which separates the band from other. Huntington Band Alumni Spotlight: Edith Nelson the spotlight is on you. Huntington Band Alumni Spotlight: Mrs. Nelson was a majorette three years from 06-08 and graduated in 2008. She obtained both her bachelor’s in business as well as her Master’s in Business. Mrs. Nelson currently works in the Business office of Highland Place. She has also coached Woodlawn Majorette for two seasons as well. We are very proud of this Huntington Alum!!

Huntington Band Alumni Spotlight: Amber Jai (Amber Thomas) the spotlight is on you. Mrs. Thomas is the owner of C.Bell Stitches which does embroidery. She was a member of The Silver Treasures Danceline from 2005-2007. For your embroidery needs hit her up and we are very proud of this Huntington Alum!!

This is Dr. Jefferson’s 16th year at Huntington, he is the longest tenured Band Director ever at Huntington. Thanks to God, great students past and present, parents and support and definitely hard work governed by high stands the program has consistently earned a plethora of 1st place, superiors and Grand Championship from auxiliaries, drum majors, marching band, percussion section and concert band on a yearly basis: consistency like no other. The only year it was not done is Covid year (2020-2021) when there wasn’t travel allowed or competitions to attend. No other program in Caddo can say this. The legacy will definitely continue with this group. 2026-2027 Thee Raider Jukebox is ready!!

Raider Jukebox started up first Monday in June, went into band camp last two weeks of July, took a week off and we’re going full throttle on the first day of school tomorrow . 2026-2027 Let’s Go
