Hayden Travinski’s baseball journey began in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he established himself as one of the area’s top young players at Loyola College Prep and Airline High School. A two-time All-State and three-time All-City selection, Hayden was named Shreveport’s 2019 Defensive Player of the Year and the All-Region Team Hitter of the Year.
His success at the high school level earned him the opportunity to continue his career at LSU, where he developed into an elite collegiate catcher and power hitter. At LSU, Hayden spent five seasons competing in the SEC and appeared in 177 games, finishing his career with a .279 batting average, 37 home runs, 110 RBI, and 98 runs scored.
Hayden’s breakout moment came during LSU’s historic 2023 season. After earning the starting catcher position late in April, he became an important contributor to the Tigers’ run to the College World Series championship. He hit .356 with 10 home runs, 30 RBI, and 30 runs in 41 games, including a .429 average during the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional. His performance earned him NCAA Baton Rouge Regional All-Tournament honors, and his production down the stretch helped LSU capture its seventh national championship.
In May 2025, Hayden continued his professional baseball journey by signing with the Houston Astros organization and beginning his professional career in the Florida Complex League.
Today, Hayden brings that complete baseball journey into instruction. Having experienced the progression from youth and high school baseball to the SEC, a national championship, and professional baseball, he understands what it takes to develop at every stage of the game. His experience as a catcher and hitter gives him a unique perspective on offensive approach, catching fundamentals, throwing, receiving, blocking, game preparation, confidence, and the mental side of competing.
Hayden’s goal as an instructor is to pass along the knowledge, habits, and lessons he gained throughout his career while helping young athletes build a strong foundation, maximize their potential, and prepare for their own next level of baseball.
