To everyone who has donated, shared, or kept me in your thoughts: Thank you!
To everyone in the past, who has donated, volunteered, advised, supported me as I pushed collard greens, purple hull peas, cornbread and sweet tea, into the light, Thank you!
The story of Chef Hardette and the Us Up North Kitchen is a long one with "hills, mountains and valleys"..repeat. But here I am, knowing this work “has” to be done.
Every donation, no matter the amount, is going toward making Us Up North Kitchen, the North Louisiana culinary hub it was designed to be. And every share, every like, every kind thought, all matters more than you know.
The support so far has helped get things moving again. I truly believe Us Up North is going to reach goals, not just financially, but to a point where I will be proud to say, “welcome to North Louisiana’s premier culinary hub”. Every dollar gets me closer.
If you have any questions about what's next, please don't hesitate to message me. I appreciate the dollars, but if you have any other resources to offer, I welcome those as well.
If you aren't able to donate, I completely understand, things are tough for everyone right now. A like and a share goes just as far in my book. If you know someone who loves North Louisiana cuisine and wants to be part of something real, please share my campaign with them.
Look for what’s next at Us Up North!
With gratitude and cornbread,
Chef Hardette

Who's raising teens or knows teens and young adults who eat little to no real food or home-cooked meals?
They prefer and often refuse to eat (daily) anything other than $5 combo meals, overly cheesy processed foods, chicken tenders, hot fries, honey buns, sugary drinks, etc. The list goes on.
How are you dealing with it?
