Great final Rotaract meeting! We heard wonderful stories of service from Debra Ann Haggin founder of Surviving Sisters and Brothers (anti-bullying programs) and GC student volunteer Abby Reasnor.

The last Rotaract meeting of the year was a great success. We were able to honor Surviving Sisters and Brothers in person with their donation, as well as honor it's founder, Debra Haggin, with a Community Service award. Our other donation will be going out to Grand Central Station, and our President and Vice President look forward to delivering the check. Lastly, our scholarship recipient, Abby Reasnor, recieved a letter of gratitude from the club and shared her story of Service Above Self with us all. Rotaract had a very successful year, and it could not be possible without the support of our community and college.

Special thanks to the Preston Trails Rotary Club of Celina for their support of GC Rotaractors. Now the Rotaract club can award funds to students and local non-profits who exemplify the Rotary motto: Service Above Self—He Profits Most Who Serves Best.

Which Grayson County Rotarian predicted an Eagles’s victory and answered David Bayless’s questionnaire with the most correct answers about how this year’s Super Bowl would unfold? Yes, one of the sponsors of GC Rotaract and native Pennsylvanian, Jean Whiteside Sorensen. This trophy is on display today in the GC library.

GC Rotaractors enjoyed the MLK breakfast at Austin College. Meeting Sherman Rotarians was added fun.

Celebrate MLK day with GC Rotaractors at Austin College's breakfast 1/15 at 7 a.m. in Maybee Hall (2nd floor of the Wright Campus Center)--free for all GC and AC faculty and students! Program starts at 7:15.
