Dillingham Elementary School serves Kindergarten through 5th grade students in Sherman, Texas.

Sherman ISD maintains a social media presence for the benefit of the community. Sherman ISD monitors the posting of comments and other information on the district’s social media accounts and has the ultimate discretion to determine whether the c

ontent of a posting is appropriate or inappropriate. A post that is determined to be inappropriate, as further defined by these rules, shall be immediately removed by the district. The intent of this policy is to protect the privacy and rights of Sherman ISD staff and students, and to ensure that visitors to the sites are not subjected to inappropriate content. These rules are supported by Sherman ISD Board Policies GKDA (Local) and GKB (Local). A post will be considered inappropriate if:
The post threatens physical violence or is obscene, vulgar, or sexually explicit;
The post endorses actions that endanger the health or safety of students or others;
The post promotes illegal use of drugs, alcohol, or other controlled substances;
The post contains untrue and potentially harmful statements about a person, otherwise identifies a specific person in a defamatory, abusive, or negative way, or violates a person’s privacy;
The post itself violates the law or encourages others to do so or advocates imminent lawless or disruptive action and is likely to incite or produce such action;
The post contains hate speech or similar language that offensively attacks any group (e.g., racist, sexist) or contains content aimed at creating hostility and violence;
The post does not relate to the topic of the information posted by the district (e.g., if a post references an athletic team winning an award, comments should relate to that topic)
The post violates the intellectual property rights of another person (e.g., do not post all or part of a copyrighted work without the permission of the owner; do not cut and paste images or logos from the internet that may be protected by copyright or trademark rights);
The post is an advertisement for good/services or is “spam” (i.e., repeatedly posting the same comment(s) for the purpose of advertising/promoting a service or product);
The post promotes any other organization that may be in competition with the district (e.g., charter schools, public schools, private schools, online schools or programs);
The post violates federal or state law or any Board policies regarding the protection of employee or student privacy or the confidentiality of employee or student records;
The post promotes, advocates, or electioneers for or against any candidate, measure, or political party or the post constitutes political literature (except as permitted by state law);
There is reasonable cause to believe that posting the information will result in material and substantial disruption or interference with school activities or the rights of others. Sherman ISD is not responsible for the content posted on this page by site visitors and does not endorse any content posted by site visitors. The district reserves the right to block or restrict users who repeatedly post content that violates these guidelines, consistent with applicable law and district policy.

After fighting through the tears during our last day of school dismissal (yes, we just said Goodbye but we already miss our kiddos), our staff was treated to a nacho bar lunch by First Baptist Church, Sherman, TX. We also took time to celebrate our amazing staff accomplishments this school year. We recognized teachers that received 5,10, 15, and 25 years in SISD with commemorative pins, as well as outstanding staff members who were nominated and voted on by their peers. Our staff also celebrated our Volunteer of the Year, Lauren Hughes. Dillingham is fortunate to have such an amazing, supportive village of staff & volunteers for our Lions. 🦁 💙💛🤩👏🏼🎉

This morning, we got to cheer our Fifth Grade students as they took their Farewell Walk through Dillingham before transitioning to Sherman Middle School next year. They’re an amazing group of kiddos and we know they’ll make us proud. Stay strong & proud, Lions! 🦁 💙💛🎉

Our Lions have been ending the year with a ROAR!! 🦁 On Tuesday, all grades participated in our Annual Lion Fun Day, despite the weather. Last Friday, our Lions that have consistently exhibited R.O.A.R. characteristics received tickets to attend our 4th 9 weeks Magic Ticket Event, a Lilo & Stitch Luau! 🏝️💃🏼 🦁💙💛

Special THANKS to everyone that showered our teachers & staff with love and appreciation this week! Students and their families with heartfelt surprises, our amazing Dillingham PTA for providing daily fun treats and surprises, two new microwaves for the lounge as well as a Texas Roadhouse Baked Potato Bar and the yard sign, our Staff Celebration Committee for the Olive Garden Pasta Bar, and Kirk, Jr with for the walking taco & nacho bar! Our teachers and staff work unlimited hours every week to ensure Dillingham Elementary is one of the BEST schools around, and we’re happy to show support for their uncommon effort! 🦁💙💛🤩🥰💯 Dillingham Elementary PTA

Our Fifth Graders would like to give a big shout out to our Dillingham PTA for fueling us today with Chick-fil-a boxed lunches for our Jr Bearcat Relays. They had a great time, supported each other as well as peers from other campuses, and won the Spirit Award for the 2nd straight year! Thank you, Dillingham Elementary PTA! 🦁💙💛 🏃‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️
