I had a great day teaching a beginner modeling spoon class. A huge thanks to the .japan.club for inviting me back again. Having the projector was really nice for demonstration. They all did really well with using the tools to clearly define the kanji they choose for their own keychain. #革細工 #レザー #レザークラフト #日本語 #漢字

Serious kudos and thanks to and for the opportunity teach this year, and the killer graphic design!
If you've never been to Sheridan it's a great event in a beautiful part of the country. A ton of wonderful teachers and experts sharing their knowledge, the exhibits are awesome and the vendors are some awesome people.
If you're a seasoned leatherworker or even a total beginner consider coming out.
The other big shows are in Arizona and Texas if you can't make it to Wyoming.

We are home safe. We felt the earthquake in Tokyo as we were waiting to board the plane. Some pictures of the scenery. Osaka castle, Todaiji and the Buddha in Nara, Shinjuku in Tokyo, Kiyomizudera in Kyoto, and a cool shrine behind Dotonbori in Osaka.

Way better 1st meal than the McDonald's I had on my first trip in 2016...
2700yen... ~20 for 2 bowls of ramen, karage, gyoza, and some sake. My wife lost her mind about the karage... I've been trying to tell her... It's just different here. So far I know karage and egg salad sandwiches will keep her fed
