A true giant in the Muay Thai community. Kru Saekson Jinjira.
Though he was not my direct instructor, his impact echoes. My cousin and Kru first introduced me to his world, which eventually brought me onto the mats at Saekson camp and through the doors of multiple seminars he hosted over the years. In the martial arts, instruction isn’t just about who holds the pads for you day-to-day—it is about the entire tree of knowledge you inherit. Losing him feels like losing a coach in the truest sense: a foundational architect of the style, discipline, and passion I carry forward every single day.
Saekson even introduced me to Samart Payakaroon, the greatest Thai fighter in history.
Having been a Nak Muay for more than half my life now, It isn't just sadness for a passing; it's the sudden, heavy realization of how much weight those pillars were holding up.
Yet, to carry that lineage is an immense privilege. Grandmasters do not truly leave when their time on the mats is done. Their spirit translates into sweat, filters through decades of dedication, and lives on in the work we do every day.
The roots run deep. The tree stands tall. And the work continues.
Thank you, Kru Saekson. Prayers and condolences to his family and to the sudents you have influenced globally.
