Onaway families: Staff appreciation week is next week! Help us chalk the walk this Sunday! Head over to Onaway at 4pm to leave messages of thanks, praise, encouragement and everything we love about our staff. Please bring your own chalk. All are welcome; no sign-up required. Look for additional ways to volunteer next week in an email from classroom parents!

Donation Drive at Shaker Heights Middle School, Saturday, January 17, 10 am - 12 pm. Donations of non-perishable food items, hygiene products, diapers and baby wipes will be collected for local nonprofit organizations. Specific items for Onaway are listed below!

Community Conversation & Meal at St. Dominic School, Sunday, January 18, 1:30 pm. Enjoy a free catered meal by Zanzibar Soul Fusion and a group activity geared to launch the community conversation. Doors open at 1 pm. All are welcome! Register here: https://www.shakerpto.org/mlkday2026

You can volunteer to push the cart around the school from 11:30-2pm on Wednesday 12/10**
*All items must be dropped off in the front office no later than 9am on Wednesday 12/10

**In order to volunteer in the school, you must be registered, fingerprinted, and have a background check (this process needs to be redone every three years)

Join us for fall cleanup!

The Onaway Garden Club will be having a 'put-the-bed-to-bed' event on Saturday November 15, from 10am until noon. We will cut some flower stalks, harvest some seeds, and w**d some w**ds, for anyone interested in some outside activity. Pruners or a w**der would be helpful, but not necessary.
