🛡️ Plan Ahead: The Importance of an Emergency Response Plan with Your Spouse 🛡️
Ohio Valley Carry is excited to announce that we’re reopening February 2025! As part of our mission to help you stay safe and prepared, we’re highlighting the importance of teamwork and planning with your loved ones—because emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere.
Having an emergency response plan with your spouse is essential for staying calm and coordinated if danger arises in public. Here are the key reasons why it matters and how to get started:
1️⃣ Stay Calm Under Pressure
• Knowing your roles ahead of time prevents confusion during an emergency.
• Discuss specific scenarios, such as how to respond to a threat or where to meet if separated.
2️⃣ Communicate Clearly
• Establish simple code words or phrases to signal danger or the need to act.
• Practice calm and concise communication to avoid misunderstandings during high-stress moments.
3️⃣ Act as a Team
• Decide who will handle specific tasks, like alerting authorities or protecting children.
• Train together—practice situational awareness, self-defense techniques, and safe exit strategies.
At Ohio Valley Carry, we emphasize the power of preparation and education to protect yourself and your loved ones. Our training programs can help couples learn effective self-defense skills, situational awareness, and how to work as a team in emergencies.

🚗 Be Prepared: Essential Emergency Items for Your Car This Winter! ❄️

Ohio Valley Carry is thrilled to announce that we’re reopening this February 2025! As we get ready to help you stay prepared and protected, we’re sharing some must-have tips to keep you safe during winter travel.

One of the smartest things you can do this season is to stock your car with essential emergency items. Winter weather can be unpredictable, and a little preparation can make all the difference in staying safe and warm if you’re stranded.
Here are the top items you should always keep in your car during winter:

1️⃣ Warmth and Comfort
• Blankets, hand warmers, and extra gloves or hats to stay warm.
• Non-perishable snacks like granola bars and bottled water to keep your energy up.

2️⃣ Safety and Visibility
• A flashlight with extra batteries for navigating in the dark.
• Road flares or reflective triangles to signal for help.
• An ice scraper and small shovel to clear your car and free yourself from snow.

3️⃣ Tools and Essentials
• A fully charged portable phone charger or power bank.
• Jumper cables or a portable battery jump starter.
• A first aid kit for minor injuries.
• Sand, kitty litter, or traction mats to help your tires grip icy surfaces.

At Ohio Valley Carry, we believe safety and preparation go hand-in-hand, whether you're behind the wheel or preparing to defend yourself. Our training programs and resources are designed to give you peace of mind in every situation.

📅 Don’t forget: We’re back this February! Stay tuned for updates on our training courses and events.

🌟 Ohio Valley Carry is Reopening February 2025! 🌟
We’re excited to announce that Ohio Valley Carry will be back in action this February! 🚗❄️ As we gear up for our reopening, we want to share some vital tips to help you stay safe this winter season, especially while traveling. Winter weather can make the roads unpredictable, but with a little preparation, you can stay safe and confident.
Here are 3 important things you can do to stay safe in winter weather conditions on the road:

1️⃣ Prepare Your Vehicle
• Keep your gas tank at least half full to avoid freezing fuel lines.
• Check your tires for proper tread and pressure—consider snow tires if you face icy roads often.
• Stock your car with an emergency kit, including blankets, a flashlight, water, snacks, and a phone charger.

2️⃣ Adjust Your Driving
• Slow down and increase your following distance—slick roads require more time to stop.
• Avoid sudden movements like hard braking or sharp turns, which can lead to skidding.
• Be especially cautious on bridges, overpasses, and shady areas where ice can form quickly.

3️⃣ Have a Plan
• Let someone know your travel route and expected arrival time in case of emergencies.
• Familiarize yourself with your vehicle's safety features, like ABS and traction control, and know how to use them effectively.
• If conditions get too dangerous, don’t hesitate to pull over somewhere safe until it’s clear to continue.

At Ohio Valley Carry, we believe preparation is the key to safety—whether it’s on the road or in protecting yourself and your loved ones. Starting this February, we’ll be here to provide expert fi****ms training, self-defense coaching, and peace of mind through knowledge and preparedness.

🚨 ACTION ALERT 🚨

The ATF Pistol Brace Ban is COMING IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS

By June 1st, up to 40 million fi****ms will be banned in the largest gun ban in US history and millions of Americans will unknowingly be turned into felons.

This is unacceptable and we need your help to fight the Biden Administration's weaponization of the ATF.

TAKE ACTION today and click the link below to urge your representative to vote for H.J. Res 44, which will repeal Biden's pistol brace ban.

Remind them that Biden's gun ban is just the latest attack on our Second Amendment rights.
