🚨 Know the Moment It Matters with Real-Time Alerts

What if your staff knew about student concerns the instant they met your district’s criteria... instead of days or weeks later?

With Real-Time Alerts in simpldiscipline, the system continuously monitors student data and automatically notifies the right people when a threshold is reached.

Imagine alerts like:

ā° A student reaches 5 tardies
šŸ« A student receives 3 tardies in the same class.
šŸ“š A student with an IEP reaches 10 days of OSS.
šŸ“ˆ Classroom infractions increase by 50% over the previous month.
šŸ“‹ A required conference or intervention hasn’t been completed on time.
🚨 A student reaches 3 fighting incidents during the school year.
šŸ“… A student accumulates 5 unexcused absences within a rolling 30-day period.
and more....

Then automatically:
āœ… Notify administrators, counselors, teachers, or intervention teams via email
āœ… Automatically create and submit a discipline incident to administrators for review
āœ… Automatically document a minor infraction and assign a consequence, such as Lunch Detention.
āœ… Generate letters and required documentation using district-approved templates
āœ… Trigger additional workflows to ensure interventions, notifications, and follow-up tasks are completed automatically

No spreadsheets. No manual reports. No wondering if someone caught it.

Just the right information delivered to the right people at exactly the right time.

Real-Time Alerts help schools identify trends earlier, intervene faster, and ensure critical events never go unnoticed.

We’re growing again at simpldiscipline + simpldismissal... and we’re looking for someone special to join us. šŸŽ‰

Our team is searching for a Software Engineer who is energetic, personable, and understands what it’s like to be in a school district. Our roadmap is growing quickly, and we need another set of hands (and heart!) to keep up with the exciting work ahead.

We’ve come a long way, now serving nearly 80% of SC school districts and districts across 14 states, but at the core, we’re still the same small, passionate team that cares deeply about building tools schools actually love.

If you want to make an impact in education technology and help us write the next part of our story, we’d love to hear from you.

Questions? We would be happy to chat about the awesome work we are doing!

Friends and Customers: Please share this and help us find our next team member :)

simpledu is excited to share an opening on our team for a Software Engineer! To learn more about us, check out our company story below. The Software Engineer is responsible for the development and deployment of innovative software to enhance and support K-12 education.

We’re excited to be attending in Mobile, Alabama! Our team is looking forward to connecting with education leaders from across the state, sharing ideas, and learning more about the great work happening in Alabama schools.

A special shoutout to Harper, our junior sales associate, who is especially excited to spend the next two days networking with Alabama administrators and making new connections!

Today, we’re celebrating Administrative Professionals Day and taking a moment to recognize someone who has already made a big difference on our team.

Shannon Broom, while you haven’t been with us long, your impact has been immediate and meaningful. From keeping things organized to supporting the team in ways that don’t always get seen, you’ve helped make simpldiscipline better every single day.

We’re incredibly thankful to have you on this journey with us. Your work matters, and it does not go unnoticed.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day, Shannon!

Swing by our booth at to see how behavior management and attendance processes can actually work with your SIS, not against it.

We’re helping districts reduce manual work for school administrators and central office teams while improving accuracy and efficiency across the board.

Happy Assistant Principals Week!

We wanted to celebrate you the only way we know how…
with AI-generated bathroom graffiti (don’t worry… we’re hoping this is the only kind you see this week šŸ˜„).

In all seriousness…

Assistant principals are the heartbeat of the building. You are everywhere, all at once. Supporting teachers, navigating tough situations, working with students and families, and somehow still leading with consistency, patience, and care. It’s not easy, and it definitely doesn’t get enough credit.

At simpldiscipline, we’re especially grateful for the partnership we have with so many of you. You are the core users of the platform, and so much of what we build comes directly from your feedback, your ideas, and your day-to-day experiences. You truly shape this product.

So this week, we celebrate you…
The problem solvers
The relationship builders
The calm in the chaos

Thank you for the trust you place in us, and for everything you do for your schools and students.

We appreciate you this week and every week šŸ‘

šŸ‘€ Sneak Peek for SC Administrators…

We heard you loud and clear.

When assigning ISS or OSS, if there’s a break in days (like a student missing a day of ISS), you’ve had to manually create multiple actions… not exactly ideal.

Coming soon in simpldiscipline:
We’ll automatically split suspension actions for you when there’s an in-session school day between dates, whether you’re creating a new assignment or editing an existing one.

That means…
āž”ļø If a student doesn’t show for ISS, just update the dates
āž”ļø We’ll handle the split behind the scenes
āž”ļø No extra steps. No manual cleanup.

šŸŽ‰ Approve. Confetti. Done. šŸŽ‰

We’re heading to the CoSN Conference in Chicago next week and couldn’t be more excited!

We’re looking forward to a great week of connecting with some of the brightest minds in education and technology, sharing ideas, and learning from others doing incredible work in this space.

On top of that…
⚾ Kicking things off with a Chicago Cubs game on Sunday
🚤 Hosting a boat party on Tuesday (let us know if you’d like to join!)
šŸ¤ And plenty of time to network and collaborate throughout the week

Fun fact: our co-founders were the first and second individuals in South Carolina to earn their CETL certification back in 2022, and we’re proud to continue being part of this amazing community.

If you’ll be at CoSN, let’s connect!

simpldiscipline is now averaging 1.5 MILLION emails every month 🤯

āœ”ļø Admin → Teacher: clear, instant updates
āœ”ļø School → Parent: no more guessing what happened
āœ”ļø School → Student: consistent, transparent communication

Clear communication builds trust. Trust builds better outcomes for students.

simpldiscipline was recently featured in a dissertation at Clemson University focused on a real challenge schools across the country are facing, inequity in school discipline. (linked below)

The research highlights something we see every day working with districts. When you actually dig into discipline data, patterns start to emerge. In this case, the study found disproportionate discipline referrals among certain student groups and emphasized the importance of using data to better understand and address those gaps.

That’s exactly why we’ve put so much focus into our reports and analytics.

simpldiscipline isn’t just about documenting incidents. It’s about giving schools the ability to:
• analyze discipline trends in real time
• break data down across student groups
• identify inconsistencies early
• make informed decisions that lead to better outcomes

Equity in discipline doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when schools have clear, accurate data and the tools to act on it.

Grateful to see this work being recognized in meaningful research, and even more excited about the impact districts are continuing to make every day. Pretty cool moment for our team!
