It’s been a really great week at Wilson. We’ve had many great readers from our community and school family. The teachers and students decorated their doors and the halls of the school and they all did an awesome job. This year our theme for Read Across America was Champion Kindness. To end the week, we had popcorn and Capri Sun and wore our PJs so we could Dream of a Better World!💚

Today we’re proud to recognize Seminole Fire Department Captain Jason Hudson and Firefighter Conlan Decker for spending time at Wilson Elementary School reading to the kids in honor of Read Across America.

There’s nothing better than seeing our firefighters in the classroom, encouraging young students to read, learn, and dream big. Moments like this remind us that serving the community goes far beyond emergency calls — it’s about building relationships and investing in the next generation.

Thank you, Captain Hudson and Firefighter Decker, for representing the Seminole Fire Department with pride and for making a positive impact on the students at Wilson Elementary.
