EXCITING NEWS!!:
Throughout this journey, I have always shared the things I’ve learned with the people who voluntarily chose to come alongside our family. I do that because I know you didn’t have to be here.
You chose to.
So I have always believed in transparency. Not just the victories, but the mistakes. The difficult lessons. The things I wish I had known before I learned them the hard way. I’ve caught hate over sharing it all. Criticism. But also love and more “Thank you”s than I can count. And the silver lining to that is by all of you seeing us stumble, you know to watch your step if you or your family ever find yourselves in a nightmare like ours did. And that’s the beautiful part about sharing our story. So I have no regrets over baring it all.
Everything we’ve done since the first clear scan has been an attempt to honor a promise I made in prayer for my daughter’s life. And today, a groundbreaking and historical partnership was signed, sealed & delivered. One that will far outlive ME and will benefit families of pediatric and adult cancer for generations to come.
I am incredibly proud and excited to announce our new partnership with SC Labs to launch a new initiative called:
Families First: Lab Testing for Natural Medicine & Supplements
When we started treating naturally, I was GREEN. (Stupid pun intended😉) I didn’t know what cannabinoids were. I didn’t know what terpenes were. I had no idea what potency should be. I never thought about residual solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, microbial contamination, or any of the other things I now know can make or break a product’s quality.
And I wish I would have. I definitely should have.
Gray may be in remission, but I’m still learning and evolving today. There are things I can admit today that I could have done better for her, even though she won.
Treating naturally means you’re trusting a substance to help someone’s body fight one of the biggest battles of their life. So why wouldn’t we be just as meticulous about knowing what’s in that substance as we are about a prescription medication? Because access wasn’t there for regular families!
Through Grays story, we have proven that Natural doesn’t mean less effective. And we have learned that natural doesn’t automatically mean safe. And I’ll be the first person to admit that. The biggest problem with treating naturally is the huge lack of regulation. That ends today. For everyone.
After finally learning how lab testing worked, I submitted samples of the oils we had been using. When the results came back, I honestly didn’t really know how to interpret them. So I took them to my mentor, who served on the board for Phoenix Tears and who has graciously spent countless hours teaching me over the last few months. He looked at the reports and immediately told me the testing looked subpar at best to him.
My first question was, “Then why did it work? Why is Gray the only one of 21 children walking around without a brain tumor where there once was a brain tumor?”. I wasn’t ready for his answer and it has stayed with me every single day since.(I am directly quoting so don’t shoot the messenger over the language. We are all adults here. And if we aren’t, we probably shouldn’t be on social media🙃)
“Kymee… because even $h*tty oil saves lives.”*
Those words didn’t make me feel better. They stung. But they did make me realize something I needed to hear.
Gray survived. Yes. We were unbelievably blessed. But I still could have done better by her. And that realization hurt. It still does. But it also lit a FIRE under me to make sure that something changes. That every family from here on out won’t need to wonder if what they’re giving their loved one is consistent and ALL of their chosen natural supplements can be verified and tested. At any time.
Because testing doesn’t just tell you whether something passed or failed. It teaches you. Every report showed me where I needed to improve my product once I took over. Every report made the next one better. And it’s why my testing came out beautifully in the end. I’m not someone who provides medicine for families all over. It’s enough pressure to just provide for Gray. But I knew immediately that if I approached this the right way, I could provide SOMETHING that families all over treating this way deserve. And that something is PROTECTION.
As I learned more, I discovered something I think families also deserve to know. When a company says a product is “lab tested,” that does not necessarily mean it received full panel testing. Companies choose which tests they pay for. Some only test potency. Some skip pesticides. Some skip residual solvents. Some skip heavy metals. Some skip terpene profiles. And unless you know what you’re looking at, you’d never know the difference.
I even found a licensed facility where I live that admitted they skipped certain testing simply because it costs more. That was eye opening. And a little maddening!
If families are spending thousands of dollars on natural medicine/supplements, shouldn’t they have the ability to independently verify what they’re buying? I believe they should. It certainly doesn’t harm anyone by being sure. And it might save someone from some harm. So I reached out to SC Labs and I told them Gray’s story. OUR story. Then they watched all of the rounds of testing I paid for and the results that came from them right alongside me.
During our meeting, I explained what it’s like to become a caregiver overnight. What it’s like when conventional medicine reaches its limits or a patient simply is allergic and parents begin searching for alternatives. I explained how we lose the guidance of the experts when we venture into these treatment routes, not because they don’t want to help, but because most aren’t educated in alternatives. It’s just the truth of the matter. I explained how impossible it is for the average family to access laboratory testing on their own. How scary it is to spend thousands of dollars on products while hoping they’re exactly what they claim to be. They listened. They took the idea to their leadership team and their director. What they came back with was something that honestly exceeded every expectation I had.
Through our new Families First partnership, pediatric (and adult) cancer families can now access professional third party laboratory testing through our account at discounted pricing because this lab doesn’t just SAY they care. Their actions SHOW IT.
Whether it’s a vitamin, a supplement, a tincture, cbd products, oil, or another ingestible natural product.
Every family now has a way to verify EXACTLY what they’re giving the people they love.
The laboratory sends the Chain of Custody paperwork directly to the family. The family submits the sample directly to the laboratory. The laboratory provides certified documentation that the sample was received, including photographic documentation. The laboratory sends the completed reports directly back to the family and even helps explain what those reports mean. The reports never come through me. The samples never come through me.
My only role has been advocating for this community and helping create access that simply didn’t exist before.
One thing I want every person to hear and take away from this new partnership:
You are not betraying anyone by independently testing a product. You’re protecting your family.
Any company that truly believes in what they produce should welcome transparency. My advice is if testing bothers someone, avoid whatever they’re providing!
Science doesn’t threaten quality. It proves it.
Knowledge doesn’t guarantee outcomes. But knowledge gives families something incredibly valuable: peace of mind.
It also gives physicians real data. It helps bridge the gap between conventional medicine and natural medicine by speaking the language teams understand: science.
Testing matters. It matters just as much as the life of the person you’re fighting for.
We shared our story. Now we’re sharing OUR access and making it YOURS too.
Access that most families pursuing alternative medicine have never had before. The lab has taken their generosity a step further and offered to FURTHER discount testing if the service proves to be as crucial a need as we foresee.
If you or a loved one are pursuing natural medicine and would like to have a vitamin, supplement, tincture, oil, or another ingestible product professionally analyzed, please find “Families First: lab testing for natural medicine and supplements” on our website(I will link)and the lab team and I completely structured the process today and the team is ready to provide. Any requests, your information AND RESULTS are ALWAYS kept confidential between the lab and the client.
And to the incredible team at SC Labs: Thank you for believing in this vision. Thank you for listening.
Thank you for recognizing that every family deserves transparency, science, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly what’s in the products they trust with the people they love. Let the record show that they were the first lab in history to take this proactive and generous step to protect families that need it most and all too often find themselves without it if they don’t choose conventional methods.
This is just the beginning of our legacy.♥️
