Nature of Art Workshops A weekend art workshop hosted by Alpine Artisans in Seeley Lake, MT. in the fall. Multi media and any ages! Resident Artist Workshops in Seeley Lake, MT.

We bring in working professional artists to teach and inspire artists of any level! Memorial Day weekend. Offered are different working artists to teach and inspire artists of any level. Co-hosted by the Rich's Montana Guest Ranch and Alpine Artisans. Student scholarship fundraiser now in its 4th year. Past instructors: Karen Leigh, Pat Branting, Wendy Marquis, T.J. Lynde and Tricia Bass.

Kathy is a retired teacher, a retired native plant nursery owner, and an active artist and nature journaler. She is an infectious instructor, sharing her love of the outdoors and her appreciation of nature. She lives in Potomac with her husband.

Sylvia Smith is a fiber artist with a focus on handspinning. She has been spinning for at least 30 years and just became a certified Master Spinner through the program at Olds College. She's very active in her local Guild and the Montana Association of Weavers and Spinners (MAWS). She teaches spinning and fiber prep classes at her local yarn shop, as well as regional fiber festivals, and is an occasional contributor to "Spin Off" and "PLY" magazines. 5 weeks to countdown! Today I am highligting: K. Jodi Gear. She will be teaching us how to make natural pigments with botanicals. Inks and paints for drawing in your journal or making art! Jodi has been exploring the creation and application of handmade paints and pigment sticks made from natural pigments she has foraged near her home. Her materials practice has expanded to include the incorporation of local clays into her ceramic work - as underglazes, glazes, and clay bodies. These distinctive place-based colors appear throughout her more recent paintings and ceramic pieces.
