We ❤️ second grade 🫶✌️

We are so grateful to the Northern Arizona Aquarium Rescue for their support of our classroom learning! This is the second year that the Rescue has supplied an aquarium with different kinds of fish such as guppies, plecko, shrimp, pink snails and other snails for our school. They provide care and information about the fish that we can share with our students. Students practice responsibility by taking turns feeding the fish on alternate days and enjoy observing and seeing what the fish are doing. They are an amazing addition to our classes and we are so grateful for the Rescue's support of our learning community!

First graders in Mrs. Serrano's class studied number bonds today! We are off to a great start at West Sedona Elementary!!!

WSS Weekly Update WSS Weekly Update

What a great first day of school it was here at West Sedona Elementary! We started the year with our THIRD Pre-K classroom and welcomed Mrs. Allyson Roxby to our school, as well as four new staff members serving as Instructional Aides in Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade. These amazing people will be working on site daily to support classroom instruction as well as our extended day program! Welcome to Diana Lara Delgado, Blanca Trahin, Karo Miller, and Laura Peck! It's going to be a FANTASTIC year here at West Sedona Elementary School, where joy and curiosity are part of every single day!

Our Scorpion athletes are working hard, and we couldn’t be more proud.

SOCUSD brought football back to Sedona Red Rock because we believe our students deserve as comprehensive a high school experience as possible. We may be small in numbers, and with that brings great challenges, but we’re proving that passion, commitment, and heart can accomplish big things.

Come out and support these young men under the Friday Night Lights this fall. They are representing our school and community with pride.
