· Assessments of student learning should provide students with a variety of opportunities to demonstrate their achievement as well as provide authentic contexts in which to apply their learning.

· Each student is a valued individual with unique intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs.

· In order for students to receive the full benefit of the curriculum being taught, students and their parents must make school attendance a priority. It is the parents’/guardians’ responsibility to see that their children attend school every day possible. The commitment to continuous school improvement is imperative to enable our students to become confident, self-directed, and lifelong learners. 💙🎓💛 Mrs. Sboto’s class celebrated a special student who has been at HGMS for 8 years. Jessy is a senior this year and graduates tonight from Avon Park High School. Throughout his education, he has enjoyed listening to stories, cooking, doing art projects, and participating in adaptive PE. This year he has attended Ridge Area ARC twice a week. After graduation, Jessy will attend ARC full time. We are proud of him and wish him a successful future!

🎨 A huge shoutout to Mrs. Sboto and her incredible students for sharing their creativity and hard work with us! 💙💛

This quarter, students participated in a virtual art class through arts4all Florida where they explored different art materials and techniques to create some truly amazing projects. Their artwork showcases their creativity, effort, and unique talents, and we could not be more proud of them!
