Hi! I’m Jakob, and I started teaching when I was 17, working for a year in an after-school program that helped 1st graders build their math skills. During college, I led large facilitated study groups in organic chemistry and physics. It was this experience that made me realize that I love teaching.

After graduating in 2022, I began tutoring online, focusing on undergraduate STEM courses. In the spring of 2025, I started preparing for the MCAT, an intensive process that involved completing all of the AAMC materials, the full UWorld question bank, and a 16,000-card Anki deck. The effort paid off: I earned a 524 on the exam.

Rates and policies:
• I offer a free 15-minute consultation to get to know each other and set goals
• Base rate for college-level STEM starts at $60/hour. More complex or unusual subjects may increase the rate, as well as additional services like text support or extensive supplemental materials
• MCAT tutoring is generally priced higher (around $90/h) due to the additional preparation and scope
• Discounts are available for pre-booking multiple sessions!
