POV: Me every morning :-))
Some dogs are afraid of squirrels!
Look how Lindy notices the squirrel – her ears perk up and then she looks at me for guidance. Then she’s sniffing the tree instead of looking at the squirrel. When a dog notices something (another dog, a child, etc.) and then starts sniffing the ground, that’s a clue they don’t want anything to do with it. Lindy is trying to alleviate her anxiety by sniffing the ground.

Being a Star Sitter on Rover enhances visibility, and trust, so you get more bookings.
Did you notice how Lindy looked away and yawned? This is how dogs communicate that they’re uncomfortable. This was my cue to sit down, talk softly, and let her approach me when she was no longer uncomfortable.
You know a doggo loves you when…she kisses you so hard she cleans your teeth! 😂
Playing tug-o-war with a pittie is a great workout!! I keep the level of the rope at the same level as the dog’s head (never above) to reduce stress on their neck and spine.

We cared for 41 dogs in our home in 2025! We had 33 bookings and 20 repeat clients. Rover estimated we scooped 99 piles of💩, but that is definitely an undercount, IMHO. We boarded dogs on 257 days in 2025, so at least 250 poops! 😂😂
