"What is one of your favourite memories at Cornish?"
"In Freshman year, my section went to this really big coffee shop in Belltown. We reserved a room in a coffee shop just so we could all be together. It was around the holidays and it was just a really great family-building moment here at Cornish. I feel like I have a family in the theater department. All the memories that have been little milestones to us growing closer have been so special. Once you get everyone together in one space, magical things happen." - Clara, 19, Theater Sophomore

"What impression would you like to leave in Cornish after you've graduated?"
"That's a big question for a senior right now. I guess I would just like to leave the idea that you can do it all. I have a schedule for myself and it is titled, 'Aly's A Mother****in Superhero,' because I take on so much and sometimes I have no idea why I do that, but every single thing that I am involved with, I really love. So, I think it's just a willingness to get involved with as much as possible as long as you love that thing. Just believe that you can do it. " - Aly, 21, Theater Senior

Unfortunately, due to my midterms, schoolwork, and all my other responsibilities, I have been unable to work on portraits for a while.

"I love observing and I love learning, listening, hearing the stories of other people. So the kind of real aspect Theater provides in making people listen to stories, making people see other people, and see other perspectives is incredibly valuable to me and having the opportunity to represent just one of the billions of stories is incredible. Just generally being an African-American in Theater is also incredibly important to me just because of everything happening right now, it's very important for representation to be as accurate as possible. So if, for example, I go up on stage and I stick to the general media representation of what an African-American is, that's harmful. I've met so many other African-Americans that have been not what everyone has seen portrayed by media, that It has become incredibly important to me to represent that." - Lindsay Zae Summers, 19, Theater Sophomore
